Don't know much about the 'Yotes - in what ways can they beat us? O/D lines? Mobile quarterback? Rushing attack? Run defense?

That's funny, because I didn't sleep well on Saturday night because I was so excited over the whole situation that unfolded Saturday!

I told my Bison fan co-worker that whatever UND is ranked this week is too high. If we play a complete game on offense, defense, and special teams (hasn't happened yet), then maybe we are top 5.

That's why I am asking - why are we at the top of Massey's list? Doesn't seem right.

If there are truly parallels, in "Roger Thomas time" currently it's 1992 (7th season) for Bubba. This is a great place to be.

While obviously I wanted that pass completed, since it was 4th down, an interception was not the worst play there.

I’m more shocked that the other teams haven’t been better. I honestly think we’re better than what we’ve seen. So far, we’ve been able to win without putting together a complete game like I think we’re capable of. That being said, like UNDColorado said, I’m cautiously optimistic and need to see more. This next week will serve as a good example of how the team handles some things: short week, high ranking, another good opponent. If we are able to pass that test, then the next test will be to see how we do on the road. Day by day.

I remember that game very well. We we’re getting asses handed to us, and earlier in the day the Bison had a huge win over Iowa(?). It was a very low point in the day when when we losing bad and NDSU had already made football headlines. Had we not come back, I think we would have started the season 0-3, but instead it was first of nine straight wins.

I agree. Each week presents a new challenge to prove ourselves. This week will be against a team that also has a good win under their belt. ( plus a short week). The week after is our first road game. Long way to go. Like they say about a golf tournament, you can’t win it on the first day, but you can lose it. Glad to be 2-0 rather than any other result.

Yes for sure, but I also think the extra practice, especially for the young quarterbacks, while waiting for a spring season was super helpful.

Obviously our defensive adjustments were great. The long pass play was taken away after half. Offensively, Our 4th & short could use a little work. Had a couple opportunities to put it away earlier. Overall, this is a program changing day, though.

OMG YES YES YES!!!!! I saw a lot of room for UND improvement, but this victory tastes great!

2 come to mind where the throw was there, but the receiver didn't catch it. At least 1 was intentionally thrown at the feet to avoid anything worse than a loss of down. Schuster played a safe, calculated game.

Good question. I would imagine there would be discussion about injuries here, and I haven’t seen any. Nothing in the Herald either. So, I’m going to say we came out mostly unscathed.

That seems like a situation we need to take advantage of.

With no true pairwise, I'm glad UND is having a season that isn't close to the bubble line of the NCAA field. Hard to argue against winning the regular season of the toughest conference.
