Yes. Some very good news.

I've had a similar experience this year, with listening on the radio or paying attention to SS.com vs. watching on TV (especially the Midco broadcasts). For Nebraska, I was enjoying Labor Day weekend and following the thread. For UNI (Potato Bowl), I watched on ESPN3. For Southern Illinois, I had just bought a new TV and was setting it up while the game was going on (That was the first time Midco had broadcasting rights). For NAU, I listened to the whole game on radio, since I do not subscribe to ESPN+ (sounds like the feed/audio was terrible that game, so nothing lost there). For Missouri State, I was was vacationing in Maine and paid attention on SS. For YSU, I did a combination of TV and radio, and was listening to radio during the crucial blocked punt returned for TD and final defensive play of the game. For SDSU, I was in the car returning home from Fargo listening to the radio during the first 3 sequences of the game. When we scored the second touchdown, we were just outside GF and I said to my wife that we're going to need to check to see if the Alerus Center still had a roof! Walking from the car to the house was when the INT happened, and I watched the rest of the game on TV. I watched most of the ACU game on TV, but ran an errand and listened on the radio during the interception and final time consuming drive. I stayed in the car after parking in the garage to hear the remaining of the game because I could not risk anything like the SDSU game. For Indiana State, I followed exclusively on SS due to deer hunting. Now as I head into the crucial last two games of the regular season, I'm not sure what I will do.

https://www.grandforksherald.com/sports/college/tommy-schuster-and-quincy-vaughns-quarterback-battle-produced-an-unlikely-friendship Awesome article on the QBs. I think each knowing the other's role and not only accepting it, but embracing it, has really helped out our offense to really be maximized this season.

Is the USD game a case where our offense just has to outscore their offense? I think it's pretty safe to say that UND can/will score at least 28. Their offensive output is light by comparison, but may find success if our defense doesn't show up. Even still, I think their point total would be somewhere in that 21-24 range. A stolen possession in UND's favor will go a long ways in helping secure victory. A lost possession would make the game noticeably tighter.

Like I mentioned earlier, I would like to get to No. 3 seed. A little more challenging now that we lost back-to-back matches.
-
No write-up from UNDFootball360 yet. I've been looking forward to it all week.
-
Agreed. If we’re not seeded, that would be an ideal bracket imo.

A lot of people on here with mixed opinions on that game. It felt great at the time, but may have hurt us in the not-so-distant future. The 2016 game was also a wild one. 47-44 in OT, I believe. I think we would have been 0-3 to start the season without that win.

I'm not so sure he didn't get in on 3rd down. But, those were the days of no replays/challenges.

https://www.grandforksherald.com/sports/college/und-football-treating-south-dakota-matchup-like-the-playoffs This article doesn't give me any clairvoyance on the game. That QB sounds like a beast, 6-5 240. But it sounds like their lines (both O and D) are vulnerable (give up sacks, can't stop the run). This game scares me, though.

I'm sorry (not really), but we have to put that team away this year. We seem to have the far superior offense. Sounds like we just need to hold their ground game in check. here's to 40 minutes of TOP!

USD offense seems quite inconsistent: Only scored 3 against SDSU (among the best in FCS), but put up 38 against Cal-Poly (among the worst), and average 16 points/game. They give up 26 points/game on average, which matches UND's offensive output pretty closely. I think the biggest question will be their offense vs. our defense. Will USD exceed their season average (16) against a defense that allows nearly double that (30)? I think UND's offense can outscore them, no matter, and I expect a win. By how much is the question.

So what do we know about the Yotes? Better than their record? Or are they a doormat ready to be stepped on as we play in the friendly confines of the Alerus Center? All I know is that we need this win. And preferred 2+ score win, at that.

Are we in the conversation at all for a seed if we get to 8-3?
-
Interesting to think about. Wasn't/Isn't the pass defense a susceptible area? But maybe since they knew the opponent was in pass mode, it made it easier to defend. I do think this is the recipe for winning moving forward - offense scores regularly and forces opponents into a one dimensional offense.
-
I didn't get to watch the game, only saw highlights, so did the defense actually look legit, or was it because of the ineptitude of the opponent? Or maybe a little of both? I do hope, too, that a game where it all comes together might be just what it takes for the lights to come on.
-
That’s kind of what I was thinking. Score on most possessions and OWN the TOP.
-
Can we stop it?

Anyone paying attention to NDSU and know whether or not Luepke has been playing much?
-
I’ve been in Tommy’s corner the whole time, but there’s no doubt he’s elevated his game this season over previous. I never really thought his criticisms were warranted, but I must say it’s been so nice this year no one is questioning who the starting quarterback should be.

Just what the doctor ordered.
