It is my belief that this is our path to success this year. That puts a lot of pressure on the offense to be “on” and put up points each time they have the ball, though. Stymie our offense, and you probably have no problem getting by our defense.
-
Yes, but the reality is this team has only won 3 games. The defense bent and broke about as much as most people expected. Not great. Not horrible. Move on and Try to get better.
-
Unbelievable! How does that even happen??!!
-
Saw him pull off a Tommy Schuster a bit ago. Extended a play and found an open receiver. Maybe that’s an exception? Even if he does suck, you can go a long ways by just handing off the ball to solid running back with a massive O-line. That’s why we need to make him beat us with his arm.

Even without Luepke the Bison run game might be tough to stop. Gonna need to put up some points to force their offense out of their comfort zone.
-
Another team came into the Betty and swept UND. Quite the whimper to a home stand that could have been league defining
-
Don’t know. I try to follow Bison football as little as possible. But flipped on their game today because UND has a stake in their fate.

Luepke with arm in a sling.

Good points. I was thinking the safe play was out the back of the end zone, even on 4th down.
-
Are we still rooting for the Bison?? I don’t want to, but I also don’t want to miss the playoffs.
-
If we beat NDSU we would be 8-3.
-
Only blip was interception in the end zone. ST bailed them out and then they cashed in.
-
I pretty much only breath once the game is over!
-
Still too close for my comfort level throughout the game, but it turned out about exactly the way most thought it would. Kudos to special teams for saving the game. Great job by them. Defense still needs work if we’re going to win a playoff game.
-
Was wondering the same. Either way, victory formation.

Whipped pretty bad in set 3. Tonight was a rebuilding reality check. While we did beat NDSU and have gone toe to toe with the top of the conference, this team isn’t good enough to go from worst to first in one season. My hopes peaked a bit early. It’s been a good season. Can’t deny how far Tupac has gotten them in just one year. His tenure is going to be awesome.

It was too many that I lost count
-
Total collapse at the end of set 2. Had three(?) chances at set point and couldn’t cash in on any of them. Denver up 2-0.
-
Back and forth all set, but we kind of whimpered out at the end and lost 22-25.
-
Yes. Some very good news.

I've had a similar experience this year, with listening on the radio or paying attention to SS.com vs. watching on TV (especially the Midco broadcasts). For Nebraska, I was enjoying Labor Day weekend and following the thread. For UNI (Potato Bowl), I watched on ESPN3. For Southern Illinois, I had just bought a new TV and was setting it up while the game was going on (That was the first time Midco had broadcasting rights). For NAU, I listened to the whole game on radio, since I do not subscribe to ESPN+ (sounds like the feed/audio was terrible that game, so nothing lost there). For Missouri State, I was was vacationing in Maine and paid attention on SS. For YSU, I did a combination of TV and radio, and was listening to radio during the crucial blocked punt returned for TD and final defensive play of the game. For SDSU, I was in the car returning home from Fargo listening to the radio during the first 3 sequences of the game. When we scored the second touchdown, we were just outside GF and I said to my wife that we're going to need to check to see if the Alerus Center still had a roof! Walking from the car to the house was when the INT happened, and I watched the rest of the game on TV. I watched most of the ACU game on TV, but ran an errand and listened on the radio during the interception and final time consuming drive. I stayed in the car after parking in the garage to hear the remaining of the game because I could not risk anything like the SDSU game. For Indiana State, I followed exclusively on SS due to deer hunting. Now as I head into the crucial last two games of the regular season, I'm not sure what I will do.

https://www.grandforksherald.com/sports/college/tommy-schuster-and-quincy-vaughns-quarterback-battle-produced-an-unlikely-friendship Awesome article on the QBs. I think each knowing the other's role and not only accepting it, but embracing it, has really helped out our offense to really be maximized this season.
