  1. That’s what I keep saying. Surely someone must be able to beat them.
  2. Kelly has a nice breakdown of the early signing day recruits: https://undfootball360.com/a-und-2021-signing-day-review/
  3. Schlossman on top of it: https://www.grandforksherald.com/sports/und-hockey/alex-heinert-to-call-college-hockey-games-on-national-tv
  4. My interpretation is that the only UND game he will call for the remainder of the regular season will be on February 18 at Minnesota-Duluth, a game broadcast on CBS SN. But he may be able to call UND home games on Saturdays since there are no Saturday CBS dates. Not sure on that one. After the regular season, he also may be able to call UND's first-round playoff series, assuming it's played at home. January and February (all of the NCHC regular season broadcasts). I'm also assuming he will call the Frozen Faceoff in March, as well.
  5. Heinert to CBS SN for NCHC games after the new year.
  6. Haven't we gotten good kickers out of Canada before?
  7. According to Tom Miller's article, Larson is done. https://www.grandforksherald.com/sports/football/7323645-UND-football-balances-recruiting-in-the-transfer-portal-era
  8. Luna did not sign today, correct?
  9. Maybe trying to go transfer portal for this position?
  10. Are you trying to say we're all fooling ourselves?
  11. Really, you need 10 good ones - a back up for every spot, right?
  12. I watched the highlights this morning and noticed the Midco Sports logo in the corner. Too bad I didn’t know.
  13. So, assuming NDSU wins tomorrow, can JMU take them out the following week? Sure hope so.
  14. Assuming next week (Dec. 15).
  15. I would certainly think so. Maybe Kelly missed that recruit.
  16. Kelly has a very nice, in-depth write up for next year's team/season. https://undfootball360.com/a-look-ahead-at-2022-fighting-hawks-football/
  17. I can't open that link. Anything of substance in there?
  18. I think it can be done quickly. It didn't take Hardee long, and some of that was done during the Great West years. The upper Midwest is kind of the epicenter of indoor women's volleyball, so we are already close to the heart of the recruiting trail. Much easier than basketball, where our remoteness from urban centers stymies recruiting. As far as winning conference or making the NCAA tourney, those take a special team. Even Hardee couldn't get over that hump. But that doesn't mean those teams weren't good or fun to watch.
  19. Agreed, but they are a good way to round out a team.
  20. I like how Schlossman tells it like it is on how bad the state of the program is compared their heyday: "something that would have been unthinkable a decade ago when former coach Ashley Hardee turned the program into a mid-major power that packed The Betty" "UND has lost more home games in the last two seasons (0-20) than it did in the entire decade from 2008-17, when it went 102-19." "The program has fallen on hard times since 2017, when it went 30-8 and reached the NCAA tournament. UND went 14-18 the following year, Mark Pryor's last at the helm, and has gone 12-18, 2-16 and 1-29 under Tiffin."
  21. My main question is who's going to beat the Bison? Will someone be able to do it in the dome, or will they get yet another appearance in Frisco?
  22. If any Fergus Falls or Alexandria people are on the board, are home hockey broadcasts available on local cable tv? Traveling tonight and trying to plan an overnight stay in a city where I can watch the game in the hotel or bar.
  23. Yep. Regardless of potential playoff implications, what happens tomorrow is a harbinger of UND football for the next couple seasons.
  24. This is basically Mark Pryor. He could coach, win, and recruit (at least until he stopped caring). BUUUT, he didn't buy into the community, and as a result, his care for the program waned. And then when he left, his lack of care manifested in a couple years' time to a team that's 1-28. He didn't even use UND as stepping stone (he went to a Division III school); that's how little he cared about being in Grand Forks.
  25. We definitely don't want to be the Dakota team that can't beat any other Dakota team.
