I’ve always said the goals other teams are scoring are point blank opp’s. The issue is with team D breakdowns. Especially at really bad times…that’s between the ears. Not sure that can be fixed, I hope so. Winning is contagious…so is losing. We shall see.

I’d watch E. Pohlkamp for about 2-3 more games before going full court press and getting him to flip from BSU (before MN does).

Its really easy to blame goalies and I’m definitely not saying they’re stealing games (plus save % is basically the primary goaltending stat). But, almost all these goals other teams are scoring are point blank, high % opportunities. There are some defensemen specific breakdowns but it’s on the F’s too. They are “team D” breakdowns.

We don’t have the best D corps in college hockey.

Decent way of putting it. Those teams in the 2000’s were still real fun to watch, teams were loaded with nhlers

HC is ranked 53 at the moment, I doubt you can tell how good a team is by playing them.

That isn’t the answer sorry. The issue is far deeper than throwing in a third string goalie to get absolutely shelled.

This is what avg feels like. Folks were holding out hope of a magical turn….I don’t think so anymore. When a team like St. Cloud completely walks through us, that’s it. Back to the drawing board. This ain’t the team.

No way. One bad season doesn’t mean you move on.

Who knows…I’m guessing he’s scratching his head at the moment. I really like Bubs a lot. I don’t think he should go anywhere. But this isn’t a great spot. He won some conference chips but the lack of consistently in the NCAAs has been disappointing. This is a tough spot given the hype for this year. Really unfortunate. Given the departures after the year, next year could be more of the same. Tomorrow is probably a must win.

I guess that’s my point…you’re talking about a preseason #3 pick. This team was supposed to be really good. They had some skill, decent freshman group, reliable transfers, tons of returners. I mean wtf

If you simply focus on the difference in resources between the two programs, this should never happen. knowing what’s gone on the last few weeks this was the game we should have came out and won (laying an egg tomorrow). This has to be rock bottom…has to.

That’s pretty tight. You’re right though, Mich recruiting has slowed a bit (for now) in looking at future years. All the kids started picking BU/MN.

So Ryan McAllister is definitely a player that was missed due to the pandemic. Holy buckets

I mean, 5 in 12 w/ no goals. Dash 6? That’s a bit unfair as we’ve seen glimpses of his skill and vision. But he needs to find a bit more consistency to his game. He is a freshman, but not a true freshman. He’s also getting time with good players/2nd pp. in fairness to OM, there’s a ton of players having off years on this team. I try not to pick on underclassmen all that much.

After last Saturday I felt this team had to win that game. Too many serious holes. Can’t scrounge out a win against BSU there’s issues.

Oh I’ve never heard of that…my whole life if your team has the puck and there’s more than 5 skaters on the ice it’s obv too many men. Not sure what can be reviewed.
