I know right. I’ve heard he’s locked into BSU though. Tough because a kid like that should be playing with a bigger program with more exposure. He’s good.

None of the transfers UND has gotten this spring scream tampering. We had to recruit all of them. Most of the time I was told of a target, they didn’t commit to UND hours after going into the portal or anything. Most of them took a while to commit.
I know Bemidji fans accused Berry of tampering with Driscoll but that’s probably just angry fans complaining.
I would be top $ all the coaches are tampering. Or the coaches have someone else (in their network) that is tampering for them. I’m next to certain on it.

I'm sure they do, but with what coaching?
Livanavage works with this "Boris" fellow that works with Austin Matthews.
Oh absolutely they all do.
I know Boris, he’s really good

All these guys work on skating.

Same here.
Not sure if the problem is lack of speed or poor passing skills. Maybe a bit of both. Even a fast team will not look fast if the passing is not sharp.Completely agree here. Passing was an issue the past two years I think. Especially watching some other teams play. Much more crisp.

Next year’s seniors are the last class that can get the free 5th year.
Great…one more year of this mess.
And like someone else noted, other than the ivy’s, this just crushes the smaller schools.

I like those numbers. Fingers crossed!
What are his faceoff stats?
Agreed, 21 goals is a lot for college puck.
Colgate has been done for a while now. I’m guessing his commitment will be quick.

Good call, I missed that

You guys don't miss anything!
(1) Livanavage was #69 in Pts/Gm.
(2) Croal surprised me too.
(3) I totally agree: assessing by position is required. I was trying to keep the chart somewhat simple.
(4) Top 60 is probably too much. Confession time: I was going to do top 50. Then I saw Croal at #52 and Boisvert at #54. So I changed the parameters to top 60. Each of the junior leagues has between 400 and 500 skaters, so top 60 is still top 15%.
Oh no worries at all. Another thing I look at is stratifying first year guys too. The jump from MN HS/Tier 1 specifically to the USHL is extremely tough. One of the biggest jumps out there. So I’ll filter by rookie scoring and pts/game. I would assume Boisvert is towards the top…with Swanson putting up an extremely good season.

If Croal and Boisvert were top 60 at 0.79, Livanavage must've just missed at 0.75.
Croal hanging that number is a bit of a surprise.
You have to asses by position really. Both Strathmann and Livanavage were top 10 D at pts/gm
I really like to look at pts/gm. But I focus more on top 10-25. 60 is probably a bit much. Croal has too many penalties and is really streaky. I’m guessing he has a nice year next year.

Really hope Bubs is all over Henry Lechner

Ethan Philips to WMU (from BU). Righty dman that put up ok numbers the past two years in Boston. Had a really nice USHL season. I remember him being solid in the tourney. Curious if Bubs was after him. 5th year righty dman (4th rounder too).

Tyler Duke (tOSU) jumped into the portal.
Speculation is he's going to end up with his brother Dylan (UMich).I believe he announced late last week or this past weekend.
Josh Eirnesse (St Thomas) flipped there too. I was actually hoping we were in on him. Put together a really nice season last year.
-
So Michigan, with all their blue chips…did they win the portal race too?

Interesting. Would this player be more exciting than the last teased commitment (Komzak)?
A little more.

What's the word on James Hagens?
Another elite talent...the current crop of young US talent is pretty crazy...
Think he'll follow his bro to Harvard? Follow Eiserman to UMN? Go to BU? Or maybe CHL?He’s following a decent number of teams, including goofs. Not UND though. I’d say we have next to zero chance with this one.
I do have a hunch we’ll be hearing something here soon though

Hagen Burrows (Tonka) committed to Denver

We can agree to disagree but in my very limited viewing I thought the exact same thing as crb1. Pilgrim stood out way more to me than Shaugabay and looked like the bigger stronger faster player. But again, very little have I seen.
I like the commitment I really do…I just think shaugabay is a wizard. If his work ethic holds…he’ll play a very long time. His vision is translatable skill all the way up.

Meh - Kid is a scorer, you can’t teach that and is faster.
He’ll get stronger and faster too. I’ll argue 100% he has more upside at the next levels than Shauabay. Fun debate.
Time will tell. We shall see
Ok

Likely playing his senior year in Warroad I'd assume. He is going to put up ridiculous numbers next season. A lot of Shaugabay's assists went to this kid burying the puck.
A lot of his goals was because of shaugabays passing. But again, decent get. He’ll probably play a his senior year then a year of juniors. I’m curious if he’ll go NTDP next year, typically Warroad kids don’t.

Nothing against Shaugabay but I actually liked Pilgrims game better, at least during tourney time, this is a good get.
Come again ?

If they want to make room for Hensler next year, I would think they would need another one and done portal. If Strathmann doesn’t come this year and if the plan is for Jubenvill to come next year as well, they would need room for three. Need to make room for him, so Staudacher might not be a fit.
Hensler is still 16. Earliest he could play is the 24-25 season.
-
Logan Hensler to accelerate in school per YHH. He’d be eligible in fall of 24. Bubs needs to pull this one. It’ll be tough though I would assume.
