Dang. Last drill of practice too. That's really too bad, he's been very consistent...all you can ask of a FR.

Heal up quickly and fully, Josh!Sh!T I liked what he brought

First one...probably won't be the last from players not getting significant minutes or putting up loads of points like they do in the CHL:
Nope

Yes, but it also shows that if you are an elite player, then playing in college is going to be better for your development if you are looking to make a step to the next level. So, it probably is a cautionary tale in that playing against mature players is a whole lot different than putting up circus numbers in the CHL, and that for most looking to make the jump, there might be a learning curve just like most freshmen entering college.
The reason that some players are pushed by NHL teams is because they are truly elite and ready for that next step of development. Other than that, many should just stay in the CHL to develop until they are ready for the jump as you rightly pointed out, just like staying another year in the USHL would have been better for Cole Spicer.
Exactly. The two referenced players definitely should have played another year in the CHL. It’s a case by case basis really, especially guys going to these big blue blood programs.

I was trying to figure out what they were getting at. So, I looked and they have played every damn game. This CHL crying is getting old lol
Misa has an average of 10 minutes TOI
Katzin has an average of 7 minutes TOI
The point is that neither player had aged out yet, so they could have played CHL and logged way more important minutes and gone to college the following year. 7 minutes a game for a skilled player is a joke. We have had that conversation about ushl since the beginning. But this is all new for the CHL players. A lot of them think they are a little better than they are. College puck is no joke.

Coexist may have been the wrong way to put it. I imagine when DuPont makes his decision, he will ultimately go to a place that gives him the best opportunity to play in every situation. In all honesty, UND is probably the only team that he wouldn't be the top guy from the jump. UND's chances with DuPont varies drastically based on if Verhoeff stays or leaves.
Michigan is fairly loaded at D too..Mania not even playing right now.
I think they can play together. My worry would be who leaves if DuPont comes in. Next season Verhoeff has to QB the top PP (or at least one of them if DuPont would have the other). We have a couple guys who haven’t even touched the pp yet. They could bolt for reps.
On a side note, DuPont fairly human this year. He hasn’t been getting press whatsoever.

Extremely bad and embarrassing loss

Boys better wake up…this will be a bad one

We definitely need a sweep. Hopefully we get the PP going this weekend. Hurt us pretty bad last weekend.

I'd take another Panzer.
He’s kind of like ya. He’ll play college hockey for sure. I’d say he’s even an inch or two shorter than them.

Overly solid weekend. A split is fine against MN. Sucks that we outplayed them for long stretches without much O. PP needs serious work. There was a decent amount of good this weekend too. Team should be fairly solid come March. Verhoeff played his best all around game, today he lived up to the hype.

How doesn’t Swanson shoot that puck?

Road split by the goofs…not terrible for either side I suppose.

We’ve barely generated anything this game. Boys need to wake up.

Odd to see 4 get walked like 3-4 times tonight. Doesn’t happen to him much.

Interesting.

Curious what the faceoffs are…I feel like we’ve lost most of the ones we need to win.
These PPs need to be blown up.

After last night you know they’re going to be giving UND penalties. Why is he even chancing it?

21 might lose us this game by himself

They’re going to give the goofs a bunch of calls tonight after last night.

With Grubb being a Shattuck kid I check in on their prep team quite a bit, and a name that pops out is Ethan Sung. As a 2009 birth year he's second on the prep team in points through nine games and leads the team in goals scored. Grubb is a 2009 as well, but an April birthday makes Grubb a Junior school wise, while Sung is an August birthday so therefore a Sophomore academically.
Hopefully Grubb can get him on board and that traitor Hale kid stays away from him. 😆
Sung is elite elite offensively…but he’s about as short as it gets. Like 5’5” maybe 5’6”. He’s a sophomore.

Really tough loss after coming back. 4 can’t be so careless with the puck. I’m noticing a trend there with him this year.
Our top F’s need way more consistency. Lines need to change or something.
