Worked out well for them the last time, eh?

I don’t think McInnis was ever going to make it on campus…unless he wanted to play 1-2 more years of juniors. Committing is one thing, but making it on campus is a whole other deal.

He seems to be a bad fit at wing. His game translates better from center IMO.

This 100%. The issue is he can’t win draws. He’s like the opposite of Berg. Omac does well when he can possess the puck and has the ability to go where he wants…he’s a great skater/passes too. Berg isn’t the greatest skater from what I’ve seen and he’s a shoot first player. He’s the definition of a wing…but he wins draws and Omac doesn’t.

So it's "plucky little mid major" time? Sorry, not in this or any other lifetime.

Talent is not the problem with this team. How they perform in March is.

    I don’t really like how they’re performing in Oct/Nov :)

1st goal:  Wiebe turnover coming out of our end.

2nd goal: Rink bounce.  Cornell looked like they knew about that spot.

3rd goal:  Kunz turnover.  Put the puck back down low.....to Cornell.....

4th goal.  Wraparound after d man missed the net to the glass.  Hobie has to have the wraparound. Ask yourself how badly Kunz wanted to block the shot from the point if you watch it.

    5th: EN.

    Turnovers and d zone.

Agreed on the 4th goal…that was the only goal last night where I thought the tendy should have had it.

Takeaways from the weekend. We certainly didn't play well but goaltending was definitely the difference. We have a goaltending issue currently no doubt. Our D breakdowns are atrocious and we don't generate enough offensive chances to make up for it at the moment especially with an ugly PP. Lastly we got pushed around and there was no better example then in the 3rd when Cornell came down on a rush and walked our D for a scoring chance and we turned the puck around for a rush the other way and our forward tried to make a similar move on their D and got knocked right on his a$$.

How was goaltending the big difference? Their goalie barely saw anything in tight…and when he did, we capitalized on a high %of chances.

Was hoping that Hobie would take the goalie reins with his chance tonight, but seems like both he and TJ let in some softies this weekend.
Goalie battle is still alive...really hoping that one of them starts stringing together some good games in a row.

    Hopefully starting next weekend.

There were a couple softies…and that happens. The far bigger issue is offensive consistency and team d structure. Effort/heart could also be lumped in there. From what I’ve seen this year, they are no where near a championship team, but it’s early I suppose. Doesn’t pass the eye test with how they play.

This is the most overrated team in college hockey right now.  With supposedly high end skill players and can't consistently put the puck in the net.  Get 20 shots a game and struggles to get one to go in.

They should be WAY better than this. I agree, they’re no where near passing the eye test whatsoever. But again, it’s early.

I get it, it is early Nov.  But we have seen this before, and it usually dosent end good.  There has only been 2 games that UND has actually looked like the better team.  And now a bunch of injuries.  They say don't worry about Denver, but at this point, I'm not sure we are gonna get a home playoff series.

    Don’t worry about Denver?

  9. Overall tough game. The three goals on 4 shots to open the game was tough…but the fact we couldn’t muster any offense is the bigger concern. It’s early, but something looks off. The passing is atrocious. Throwing grenades all over the place, anyone see that first PP? We couldn’t make 10 ft routine passes.
