boys need to pick it up. It appears the break has hit them bit. At this rate the U18 team will be tough. -

Home so, it's now or never.

Agreed, its a treat to watch him.

That entire 4th line was a glaring weakness against Canada. Eansor was part of the problem.
-
Yeah, agreed. Those nchc dmen looked good, especially Belpedio. I also agree with the end of your post too. I'll swap eansor, Hitchcock, and Macinnis for any of those guys you mentioned except Bracco. He didn't deserve it.

who's the getter on the CBS line? If its schmaltz you'd be right. Guy is a takeaway machine. -

it doesn't necessarily mean an "extra" year in the ahl. The A is a much tougher league then college, some players need to take more of a progression approach rather then simply jumping to the NHL. However, as far as schmaltz goes, I think coming back to und for his junior year would be wise. His skill has always been there however he could continue to get bigger and work on his D game, while continuing to pile up points. If he does well at the WJCs and had a strong finish to the college season I doubt he comes back. -
I wonder if they'll replace Bittner with someone.

Makes sense. I knew I was reaching a bit I simply thought it was odd Schloss kept putting it on the player. Don't see that too often.
-
Other than Tomek (obviously), are the boys healthy this coming weekend? Also, I found it odd how Schloss kept referring to the Tomek injury situation as "Tomek" doesn't feel as though he is ready. First time all year that it's being put directly on the player. Obviously Berry is saying that to Schloss however there might be an underlying reason there. Typically, it is referred to as we don't think he's ready. Or the docs don't think he's ready. I could be reaching a bit but something I noticed. Schloss referred to that situation in the same manner every time it was brought up this week.

Didn't he sign an entry level deal? That is pretty typical. 2 or 3 years I believe. -
What? See the difference from '90 to '15. That's triple.

I am talking about the growth of hockey in our country, as far as the USA Hockey members. It has been staggering. Many of those new members will most likely get into college hockey at some point. The more kids pick up hockey the bigger hockey becomes in the US.

I would rather be a very large fish in a quickly growing pond than a minnow in the ocean.

Interesting. -
Ok, so you are not a hockey fan in general. I get why you would say things like that then. Makes sense.

Can anyone tell me how the UMD NCHC.tv feed is?

Yeah, Canada tried that for awhile and overthought the process. Last year they stacked the team with the best U20 players and took gold. I get what you're saying but no one can say there weren't politics involved here. Bob McKenzie, Craig Button, etc. are wondering what the heck the USA leaders were doing as far as their thought process. Many of the 19 year old first rounders they cut could play multiple roles. They at least deserved to make the prelim roster. Regardless of this team's outcome, I still question the thought process and I feel bad for some of these kids who should have been locks. Still hoping for the best though.

Albeit in the BCHL, Cakebread seems to be turning things around. Won't turn 19 until April. He is still in our pipeline correct?
-
yeah I guess. Dilks noted there was some sort of rift. Either way, I'm not the only one saying USA hockey botched this though. They were supposed to be weak on D but loaded up front. Either way they should be solid but definitely head scratching choices for sure. Hopefully the can medal.

read a rumor that Kyle Conner has never been in good graces with USA hockey (i.e. Didn't play for the NTDP) so he was out. 16 pts in 13 games as a true frosh. 1st rounder who slipped to 17th overall.
