  1. wow lj, I'm starting to question his intelligence
  2. all I am saying is that I never hear hockey folks discussing the gophs, only the wild (regardless of their performance). The only time I have ever heard someone talk about the gophs (this year) was when that article about Lucia came out.
  3. The Big10 move has a lot to do with it but so does the Wild. Minneapolis is a pro-sports city. I play hockey around the metro area and you rarely hear guys talk about the Gophs, only the Wild.
  4. Friday night the boys played well but had terrible defensive miscues. One Saturday everyone looked gassed. It was a couple bad games. Even the best of teams have a couple bad games; the Black Hawks have lost like 3 in a row now. I'm not worried. I'll be pissed if UMass-Lowell runs them out of the building in March. Our lingering problem is that we have no offensive help after that top line; I'm actually for splitting them up. It was a pretty fun ride but we're getting into crunch time here pretty soon. I actually thought Denver looked really good on Friday night.
  5. Have to lock down on D tonight, can't get into this run and gun game . This isn't the Big 10. Glad we'll Shaw tonight. Ladle obviously hasn't been right this year, I'm guessing he's been dealing with something for a while now. He was exposed 3-4 times last night.
  6. I'm shocked he's not even listed as a back-up.
  7. I thought the boys looked good most of the game, there were just several full blown breakdowns (by the same d pairing) the cost them goals. Thompson obviously didn't look good last night but his d partner was equally as bad. Denver played pretty dang well. Gotta win tonight.
  8. I like the lineup tonight. Wilkie should get in tomorrow.
  9. He's been mostly a third liner hasn't he? Either way I get what your saying. Before the year started a lot of people thought him or gersich would have the typical freshman adjustment period however it appears that both are. That's fine though. Im hoping one or both of these boys start scoring some big goals.
  10. Have you seen the stock market today?
  11. I like this line-up, however I think JJ plays over somebody. He's good.
  12. I actually liked Gornall as well. He can buzz.
  13. I like the lines however I like Olson's size in there. Not sure who he plays over, only St. Clair I guess. On D there should be a rotation between Wolanin and Shaw. Thompson can play loosy goosy but he needs to stay in there, it's not the time of year to sit juniors who are talented and that have played in some big games.
  14. Single A hockey players can be hit or miss as the competition just isn't there. If this kid was scoring at this rate as a soph I would say take a look at him. We all know of the Nelson's and Oshie's but those guys were looked at by everybody (including the NHL). You can only have so many verbals, I would save them for kids who can produce at the junior level. Or kids who are very good at a young age. Looks like the kid is having a good year though. He'll obviously play juniors somewhere, Berry will simply have to keep an eye on this kid.
  15. huh? I guess I'm not following. He's a senior this year....hes dominated his freshman, soph, and junior years. Not sure your example is apples to apples.
  16. I don't know about that, they've been avg at best since he was a freshman and that has never stopped him. He's avg half a point per game. That's really bad.
  17. What ever happened to Kevin Roy? That kid has been a human highlight reel since he was 12 years old. He's shredded every league he's ever played in and now he has 8 pts in 16 games as a senior. Super strange.
  18. He needed a "change-up" in the worst way, hopefully this sparks something in his game.
