BU was one of the youngest teams in the country though. It has to be a nice blend of draft picks that will stay 2-3 years and some 4 year players. Even if they are blue chips...you have to get them to stay at least 2 years.
-
What I heard is that it was an alignment issue. They fixed that and he started getting better at the pull ups. However, he definitely bigger now than he was during the combine (judging by those pictures).
-
Again, I saw him two weekends ago. He’s a big kid. Supposedly he had something wrong with him during the combine last year. I know the responses this comment will get on here but whatever. The kid I saw two weekends ago could definitely do a pull up...as well as play in the nhl right now.
-
Nope, the same. As it relates to schloss’ first tweet on the topic.
-
Big deal
-
I’ll be blown away if gersich ends up being an nhl player (maybe bottom 6 role)....but this forum is way too negative on the guy. He’s not a scholar, he stayed for three, he wants to play pro hockey. Go let him play.
-
Yeah, not sure they are better. On a side topic, how did Harvard keep Fox for another year?

Cheering for all NCHC teams

Wolanin got roasted by mcdavid tonight. Probably didn’t see that speed in college
-
Well that’s obvious...I was simply noting who was out there first. In this instance. Props to them. And they were spot on (in reference to the OP).
-
This would be his last eligible year. This kids needs a few more years (obviously) before he heads to the pros. CHL is not in his future.
-
KVRR was out there first. Schloss’ tweet was 30 40 minutes later....and pretty much said the same thing.
-
We’ll see I guess. Play against tougher competion, have to have vision and playmaking ability at that level (even the A). Unless your big.
-
This one is so odd to me. 5th rounder, put up big numbers while playing with two NHL players at the college level and never did much beyond that. I mean he played first line minutes and in all situations this year and for a large majority of the year he struggled.
-
Right, they just tweeted though. It should get around.
-
Ouch. I see it now. Probably accurate but we’ll have to wait and see. Feel bad for the kid, he’s one who definitely could use another year. In the pros he’ll have to learn to be a bottom six player as his vision is not great.
-
I’ll take my crack at it. Gersich - Gardner - Adams (could be flip flopped with JJ) Mismash - jones - guch JJ - Hoff - Hain Smith - Weatherby - Bowen Tychonik- Poolman Bast- Shaw Kiersted- Peski Thome/Scheel

If it’s an attitude thing that’s one thing, if this kid is pushed out after his frosh year that’s a whole other thing. Kid should be a very solid player for us. He’s not going anywhere.
-
That’s huge. To be honest, I would have been so shocked if he would have left. How the NHL handles prospects is sure changing.
-
Haha. These kids only go to und to have a shot at the NHL. Even the undrafted ones pick und to develop them into being a professional hockey player (at any level). Most players learn the tradition and the want for a natty while at und. Und would just be another stop along the way to their ultimate goal. Most fans (especially that never played the game) don’t understand that. It’s similar to those folks who get upset when a soon to be senior in HS decides to play junior hockey rather than for their hometown HS team...they need to bring in a sense of community and “how could you not want to play one more year with your best friends”. These kids are hockey players first with the goal of playing in the NHL. Due to the NCAA loophole, I do think most kids get pushed far too quickly however.
-
And much better at this point in their careers. Plus he’s getting NHL games this year. Gersich will have to play a while in the A.
-
Agreed, on the NHL part. Being that small in the NHL is almost impossible. Everyone has the skill you do and are at least 5-6 inches taller.

Only read the one post.

Toews? Schmaltz?
