Agreed, decisions being made are bad. This team has gotten away from them a bit. Tough to see. Everything is cyclical I guess.
-
Boys need to pick it up. Obviously we are beyond average, but we need the sweep.

Between 9 and 22....bonehead penalties every game

Interested how Malmquist hasn't committed anywhere yet?
-
That aren't committed? No one.
-
Ausmus sure looks the part.
-
Tufte did ok...especially once January hit.

Exactly. I think Bryce Brod. will be a nice player but with other seniors, you have to take their inflated numbers with a grain of salt. And no....I couldn't even imagine what Jack Hughes would do in this tourney.
-
Should be looking at Richels from Blaine. Already assisted on their first goal. I'm sure Ausmus and Parker (EGF) would be ones to watch from a local angle. edit: He now has a G and 2 assists midway through the second.

Completely makes sense.

Bingo. Single A hockey can be tough...especially when a team is playing pretty weak competition, as compared to his peers. He's already 18 and is skating every other shift all year long. Going into his Sr. year, he did not do all that great in the elite league (Cole Hanson had better numbers). I try not to get to wrapped up in what kids do in HS, unless it is in a top flight conference. Teams like Greenway play very weak competition most of the year. You have to look at what they're doing against kids nationally or MN all star teams (Elite league). I'm not saying don't watch the kid or he's not going to amount to anything, simply attempting to rationalize here.

More like laughable even to consider it.

I know right....mind boggling. Not sure where the direction of this program is going. Clearly emotions are running wild. Maybe Bubs only watches the dmen? Who knows.

I know this is really old, but I haven't been on this thread in awhile and had to respond. Outside of that weekend? Didn't we used to be a team that could sweep SOMEONE? I mean, we used to be good. Yes, we have beat some dam good teams this season, but we can't sweep anybody. This team has some good players but is no where close to a good team.

3 goals against cc all weekend...the future looks bright

Anyone know why JBD was sat?

Bingo

In the last 3 years we’ve missed on tons of players. I can tell because they go elsewhere. Side comment, my post had the worst grammar and auto corrects ever. I could barely follow it
-
The squad they are rolling out there tonight is terrible. Might be the first time in awhile I don’t watch. We’re definitely in a tough period right now.
-
Several? ...more like tons. Great point though. game was super tough to watch, especially on the big sheet. Our chose. System of getting it back to the D to fire off clean perimeter shots was even shut down with greater ease. That’s on Bubs if you ask me. I believe I saw Hain with and good luck and Guch...other than than that all borderline worthless perimeter shots given every team must realize that’s they only setup we’re going to run. But honestly, I fell asleep shorty after CC scored so the boys probably had a few more scoring opps (hopefully). This is not the year. We’ll need to turn over some upperclassman and continue to develop the newer guys. Those calling out late draft pick underclassmen are 100% clueless on hockey and are probably more long time Sioux fans. We have a bland as hell ozone strategy, get absolutely nothing from the upperclassman, and we’ve missed out on a couple recruiting classes. This is the product of that. Not what’s going to pull us out of this funk other than time. The blend of high Enders and overagers has always worked for us (and teams like Denver and more recently UMD/SCSU). I believe we’ve missed on some guys the past few years.
-
Bud...you just listed three underclassmen and a whiff by Dallas. Also, the margin between a 5th-undrafted pick is razor thin.
-
I really don't think anyone is bashing the recruits coming in next year. They are talking about one that got away (me personally, I'd much rather lose RD than not bring in Blaisdell next year). However, Blaisdell did cool off considerably towards the end of the year.

Go back to that article and read the PP shot attempts! Mind boggling. Get someone in there that can fix this mess.

I have a buddy that follows MN high school more than I do, and he noted that Andover should easily beat them, however he mentioned the refs would probably change things. I thought it was funny when I saw DE's goal was on the man advantage in OT. I shot him a text
