Haha, there outliers definitely, however a smart guy once told me "you're only as good as you are on paper". It seems to apply to many things in life. Obviously teams need certain role players, however, those role players should have solid production at the previously level played. Development is a ladder approach, you never really know a ceiling until you hit it.

Agreed....most of recruits tapered off towards the end of the year, except Pinto who's risen nicely.

Noticed Caulfield really tapered off towards the end of the year. His team is scoring in bunches during the U18s and he doesn’t even have a shot a bet. Wonder if a kid like that would be better off playing for a Ushl or bchl team and play in all situations

I honestly think he was leaving anyway. As far as who's coming in next, must be someone young. No way Herter comes here, he's the associate HC at UMD isnt he? Why would he come here to be third fiddle. His next move is to a HC position. I think a guy like Mannino would be interesting, good recruiter from what I can hear.

I know. I tracked him during the year. He was one of the older guys on the team. The team was good and he was supposed to be the guy. Obviously he was a top 3-4 guy on their team, but he was supposed to be the guy. Just pointing out facts, he regressed in year two.

Kunz has 2 pts in his first two ushl games. At this point it would seem like a long shot for Costello to be at UND. He was one of those situations that may have rushed his development. Shocked at Stratton's numbers. I believe his coach noted last year that he could be in the 80 pt range. Far off.
