  1. I honestly don’t think he’s the caliber UND typically recruits. And to his benefit, would he want to come here when it’s not obvious? Or go your own route and earn it?
  2. It’s going to be a long long long shot…especially considering who’s after him. But, we will land some decent CHL forwards…the current hole at F is way too big. They’ll go out and get 2-3 of them minimum.
  3. Are we talking about Gavin?
  4. Zero chance haha
  5. Can anyone post the breakdown of Brad’s draft article posted this morning?
  6. Yep. He’s another one that’ll need to play another year. I don’t understand writing him off completely. Let’s see what he does next year.
  7. Highly doubtful.
  8. I like this kids game…still shocked he never wanted to come here.
  9. I thought it was WMU?
  10. St Clair is a bit too green for an associate head coach role…maybe an assistant, but not associate head coach. He needs to lead a ushl team first. Or be an assistant on a high functioning D1 program.
  11. It’s going to be Herter or Smaby
  12. I’m thinking we’re in on a few of these. We need more F help.
  13. He’s a pass first guy…kind of like how Nick Schmaltz was
  14. I’m fairly aware of what’s going on with this program.
  15. I agree there.
  16. That’s what I was thinking
  17. I’m looking at Menghini’s numbers….he must be more of a culture guy or something? Good at pk? We’re not talking about a big time offensive player here. I’m still waiting for some F’s
  18. Need to go all in on this one…others will follow
  19. There’s definitely a time and place to “get pucks deep”…and certain lines need to play that way. But skilled, possession, type plays want to hold onto pucks to make plays. Interchanges, scissors, etc all work even better as you don’t unnecessarily create battles…and the good guys retain possession. Last year, no matter which line had the puck they were chucking it into a corner….again creating more battles.
  20. Agree with everything other than the D piece. Very tough position, they were all underclassmen playing big roles. They’ll get better and better. I don’t foresee them being absolutely lights out next year, but they will take a jump…a pretty good one I suspect.
  21. It’s 100% why. Swanson, Omac, Perron…incoming Zellers. They want to hold onto pucks..not constantly have to win 50/50 battles. Winning battles is important, but if we already have the puck, keep it.
