Interesting tidbit... UND has 4 incoming recruits that were in the top 10 in USHL PP goal scoring last year.
with these recruits and the players we already have, the PP might actually be really good for once! Hopefully this is the year we win a natty because i have a feeling we're going to loose half the team after this next season, we might just have a defence of freshmen and sophmores next season too!

Looks like Roughriders is closing in as they are both at 10% now. Assuming North Dakota is not an option because I don't think it should be let's just go with those top three of Badlanders, Roughriders, North Stars and end this committee stuff. Time to figure this out and get to a vote. Still think Roughriders wins a vote, but i'm fine with any of those 3.
I'd rather have Blackhawks on there than Badlanders. What would a Badlanders logo even look like??

I haven't ran across one person from GF (the majority of the fan base that actually attends the games) that likes the Rough Riders nickname. The reason is very obvious and has been mentioned over and over on this forum so I'm not going to mention it again.

We say this not stop but the team is looking really good again this year with the returning players and recruits coming in, maybe better then last year so hopefully this is the year they win the Natty, and because i have a place to stay in Tampa to watch them!

If Poolman doesn't play mostly forward last season KT is most likely the odd D-man out most nights. IMO he has no business entertaining thoughts about going pro at this stage in his hockey career.
Are Shaw and Woolanin that much better then KT?

Of the remaining names left, Cavalry has the most appeal to me. And I think the potential for logos and marketing for the name is tremendous.
North Dakota Cavalry. Has a nice ring to it.
And the Home of the Cavalry,..........hmmm its really missing something :/. I guess i could live with Blackhawks or Roughriders. Or a form of a wolf would be cool. It's far fetched but how about Lychens?? Kinda cool and i bet no one else has it

Grand Forks is a central location for that group. They meet at the 32nd Ave truck stop for fries and gravy monthly. Nessie is allowed to attend by telecon for 8 of the 12 meetings to save on trans-Atlantic airfare but normally attends anyway.
And I'm as close to reality as any other claims made here.
