Kuppy says in a letter that he has accomplished pretty much all he can at UND, giving the indication that he feels it is his time to move on by pursuing the Marshall job. I don't think you can have it both ways now, that is why I don't see how you can dissect his statement and say that he really doesn't feel like he has accomplished everything, if he didn't feel he had, he wouldn't have written that letter, nor would he have pursued the job. It's time to pursue a new President at UND.

The big bad media has ganged up on poor Kuppy. You question the "wisdom" of the media for publishing the letter? Why? Because now people at the university, alumni, etc. know that he is seeking another job and that he is admitting in his own words that he has accomplished pretty much all that he can here.

What are you talking about? Admitting that I'm wrong? I, along with others, can't have our own opinions on Kupchella? Some of my reasons are personal. It is pretty arrogant to say that your opinions are right and others are wrong.

With the way all the latest hirings have gone, it won't be long until there is no one at the Unversity who is from Nodak.

Just because I and others would like to see Kupchella gone, does not mean we are basing these opinions on solely athletics. This board is almost all about athletics, so when the President's name comes up in discussions on here, it is usually involving an issue with hockey, football, the name, etc. I have yet to read anyone say that the President should be at every game.

Amen to that Goon !!! I hope he is gone. His idea of mingling with the students is holding a "concert" at Tabula once a year. There is no doubt that being the President of a university like UND is a very tough job, especially trying to please everyone. I think it is time for him to move on. I hope this empty suit is out the door.

When are people going to learn that you cannot question Kuppy or UND on any decision they make, because they are always right. Start drinking the Kool-Aid and get in line with the others. Since Rob and others at the Alumni offices don't work for UND, I wish they would stop using UND in any of their advertising and solicitations for money they send me.

Yes, we know you have written more than one article for USCHO. I have no problem admitting when I was wrong or when my wording was incorrect, I should have said, "thanks for letting us know when you write certain articles for USCHO."

I never said he was a "second cut choice". Thanks for letting me and others know when our perceptions are right and when they are wrong.

I already have sent off a couple emails. A couple of people voiced their displeasure in Buning getting the job, and like times in the past, people jump all over them for not drinking the UND Kool Aid.

Just because you would use that same wording does not make it correct. I really don't think UND or Chuck could do anything wrong in some people's eyes. Just like they probably can do nothing right either.

I wish him luck and I hope he can be successful in the position. My only problem is also what Driveforshow brought up and that is this guy doesn't even make the cut, but is added later and then gets the job. Interesting

Yes Dave, we know your son plays hockey and will play for the Bruins, since you seem to point that out a lot. But that is not a great reason to take taxpayers' money and pay for an arena, that by most counts, no one really knows who will use it right now.

I'm not comparing anyone here, I just can't believe how people are not giving Marto much respect on this board. I know he has to earn that and he will when he plays for the Sioux, but I think this kid is a pretty good player also. I hope the Sioux can get all the best players, whoever they are. I'm not speaking for Rick here, but I agree with him on some of his points and I think he was a little irritated with jloos as was I, when he was basically saying that Marto played against weaker opponents and couldn't hold a candle to his Moorhead boys.
