In my opinion it is the choice Chaves thinks will be the least amount of waves to rock the boat. The safe choice. Preserve our current roster and recruits as much as possible and Dane may just give us that for the time being. Not saying it’s right or wrong but I can see where Chaves might be thinking this way. Again just my opinion.

Yeah I mean it’s nice to hear their concerns etc, but that shouldn’t really have any impact on the decision.

I just read the letter. First thing that stands out. No mention of Jax, KG or Simpson. Did they somehow throw BB under the bus and now there is some ill will?

Also, it’s not exactly a great time to apply for a job as teams are headed into playoffs. No coach wants to bring on extra distractions while that is going on. I don’t buy that no one wants to coach here.

The timing certainly did UND no favors.

Nope. But he has played, been a referee, sits on the hockey rules committee and has a passion for hockey. He is much more in the know then Chaves.

I would have to think Chaves is leaning on Marty big time for this.

I was pretty excited this morning. I really thought we might actually be going after Raboin once Hak was out of contention. Now I feel deflated.

I don’t think I need to re-hash what has been discussed over and over again. But simply put, more of the same. Time to try something different. Jacks may be a different person but my gosh he has been here for 19 years. He has been apart of the success and the failures.

Gosh I hope I am wrong but I now feel Chaves is going to make the safe bet and totally crap the bed on this one.

I would gladly eat crow on this but not what I wanted to hear. It all looks like the writing on the wall is Jackson will be named. If it’s between Blashill and Jackson I would rather it be Jackson.

Well then we get to go through this whole fun process again but with lessons learned hopefully.

My question with Schloss’s article about the hiring of Gino, some have pointed out it could be to lay the groundwork for a Jackson hire which would be maybe an unpopular pick. However at the same time in Schloss’s candidate list article he states that Jackson is the Alumni favorite. So which is it. Favorite or not popular pick?

Sounds like Hak is out. I am a little worried now it’s going to be Jackson or maybe Sandelin.

I really wanted Hak to be honest. If that is not the case then I have really warmed up to Raboin. I have no idea how realistic the chances are of that but if Hak is a no go I would like to get Raboin. Another person who I think would really move the needle would be Moorhead boy Matt Cullen.
