I was pretty excited this morning. I really thought we might actually be going after Raboin once Hak was out of contention. Now I feel deflated.

I don’t think I need to re-hash what has been discussed over and over again. But simply put, more of the same. Time to try something different. Jacks may be a different person but my gosh he has been here for 19 years. He has been apart of the success and the failures.

Gosh I hope I am wrong but I now feel Chaves is going to make the safe bet and totally crap the bed on this one.

My question with Schloss’s article about the hiring of Gino, some have pointed out it could be to lay the groundwork for a Jackson hire which would be maybe an unpopular pick. However at the same time in Schloss’s candidate list article he states that Jackson is the Alumni favorite. So which is it. Favorite or not popular pick?

Sounds like Hak is out. I am a little worried now it’s going to be Jackson or maybe Sandelin.

I really wanted Hak to be honest. If that is not the case then I have really warmed up to Raboin. I have no idea how realistic the chances are of that but if Hak is a no go I would like to get Raboin. Another person who I think would really move the needle would be Moorhead boy Matt Cullen.

I have worked with Karl on many occasions and he is a really nice guy, very smart and articulate. I saw someone post that as a coach he doesn’t relate to players and I actually can see that being true. When he was hired I had very high expectations for him not only with being a good goalie recruiter but perhaps an air apparent down the road. Again nothing personal against Karl but he has been underwhelming to say the least.

Does Augustana have any message boards that some are on? Curious if there is any talk of Rabioun possibly leaving.

My best guess is it will either be Hak or Jackson. Although I did like a few names on the list from Schloss. Coach from WMU, interesting, but huge buyout, he is probably out, Mayotte from CC, interesting. What are others best guess. My guess is someone on Schloss list is the guy.

I wonder how that works if he takes another job. Is the Kraken contract null and void or do they have to continue to honor that? I mean if you are gonna make 500k to coach UND but get paid from Seattle 2M +/yr to be at home might have an impact on a decision.
