There might actually be something to teams like Minnesota, Michigan, BU, BC etc that get all this talent but it rarely ever pays off for them. They have a bunch of great players but everyone wants to be the man. As far as I am concerned BU can pay all they want for Boisvert, I don’t think it’s going to make a bit of difference for them next year. Boisvert could have been the man at UND next year now he will be one of 25 players.

I like that. Don’t know if it would happen, would he want to come to a place here he applied and didn’t get the job only to an associate HC. I guess we will see.

Well that is big time. I really hope this pays off hugely.

I have no doubt we will be back. I just hope it doesn’t take us more than a couple years. Our fans and alumni and former players will never let this program slip into irrelevance.

In general it’s time to move on. Wish him luck, our time and energy is better spent on people that want to be here. Let’s get to work.

Isn't there a ruling coming that would effectively allow schools to pay athletes instead of having collectives etc? It does appear that we perhaps as fans, administration, alumni, have missed the boat on this whole collective and getting money to compete in this new era. This should be a wake up call to fans, alumni and administration that it is time to support and advocate for the collective.

You could tell he was a scrappy player who liked to mix it up. Certainly is disappointing to see him go but from the sounds of it, he may have some anger issues and probably will be for the best.

Agreed. I am actually surprised Michigan would want Perron given the pick of players they usually have. Seems like a big gamble to pay money to.

Karl applied for the job and was part of the first round. He didn’t make it to the second round, I would think perhaps he won’t be coming back.

As much as we want to pin this all on Chaves, and believe me he is an easy target, he most certainly leaned on Erik Martinson for this as well. I like Marty, I have known him for a long time, but he was just as instrumental in the decision making as Chaves. So good or bad he deserve credit or criticism too.

I feel like whoever made that post was more wishful thinking than matter of fact.

I think a lot of people are worried that it is just going to be more of the same with Jax. I am a bit surprised how many people are less than pleased with the hire. Jax has to change things up otherwise it’s going to be a short tenure.

I’d be ok with either Jax or Herter. It may come down to who can stop the exit of players or recruits from leaving in large numbers and I suppose a case could be made that Jax might prevent a mass exodus more so.

That’s my guess.
