I wonder what is going on with Cruikshank, there were reports of him going to BC and then he dispelled those rumors and we haven't heard anything since. He appears to be taking his time.

Yeah, Thome left the right way and I guarantee if UND ever has to play St. Thomas, which won't happen next year, Thome wouldn't be that guy from down south acting like a fool against his former team.

At this rate, the coaches almost need to wait and see who hits the portal next before committing on someone, someone who might fit better could just be around the corner. Crazy, this transfer portal is.

I think it is wonderful to get Driscoll for next year. This will be tremendous. I must admit though, I don't follow BSU very closely since they are in the WCHA, but I assume he is a good goaltender. My concern is more long term, like the following year when Driscoll is gone, where does that leave our goaltending situation. Do we ride Driscoll all year and not give any of other goalies, whoever they may be. We don't seem to have a good 2nd or backup goalie. Nothing against Harrison but he has seen extremely limited playing time, and that is an understatement, and any freshman will be well a freshman. Just doesn't seem like a great situation in the coming years. We may need to look at getting another transfer for the following year.

You're probably right but do you have specific knowledge on that or just assuming?

I am sorry but you are just flat out wrong. UND had the better play through most of the OT's and almost buried it on a number of occasions A couple of posts and a puck that flopped over the goalie and landed on top of the net inches from falling in. UMD just got the lucky bounce but to say they turned it on in OT is just not living in reality.

Either way UND will be fine. UMDs time is running out, they will come back down to earth. They all do.

I don’t know if it’s just coincidence if Blaisdell hitting the portal and now Cruikshank appears to not be going to BC. But it all seems pretty interesting.

If we could get him to replace Blaisdell that would be awesome. He has two years of eligibility left too.

I would feel so much better if we could get Cruikshank but I have a feeling he is going elsewhere. I know we need a Dman as well. Sounds like we have a goalie, still wish it was Thome.

I’d just prefer to keep Thome. He is a proven goaltender in our conference.

Will be curious to see what Thome decides. I have to admit, I thought once Scheel signed he would withdraw his name from the portal. Makes me think he might not be coming back either.

Personally I would avoid the east coast at all costs. To each is own.

That is a weird situation, not sure what to make of it. I am surprised after playing in the NCHC, he would want to go to hockey East. IMO just not a better conference but to each is own I guess. I was really hoping UND would land him though. Would really bolster our lineup.

So do we think UND is making a play for him?
