2 huge games tonight. Couldn't help myself had to purchase a day pass.
-
it'll all change after the next 2 weekends anyhow - I just like to see how I stack up with Moy n Connelly - CC/UNO swap is what I would have done had I not forgot about UNO hosting
-
shoot - missed that
-
my bracket this week, fairly easy with UMASS-A out at the moment Prov. 1 - BC 16 - BSU 8 - Quin 9 - WIs Springfield 2 - BU 13 - WMU 7 - Maine 10 - Mich. Sioux Falls 3 - UND 15 - RIT 6 - UMtc 11 - CC Maryland Heights 4 - DU 14 - Prov. 5 - MSU 12 - UNO had to swap out 4 seeds to avoid 4 DU/13 WMU first round while protecting 1 v 16 matchup - I wouldn't be happy with WMU first round if I were BU in this scenario
-
they would compete without a doubt if combined with Central

pretty good tilt for college hockey
-
Well none of them suck

WDA n EDC tourneys started in 95 and was single elimination. Williston's first season was 91-92 and Mandan came in a year or 2 after if I recall correctly.

Frustrating with the skill this team has but they give up way too many "soft areas". Pond hockey will not hang #9.

Watching PSP, Matt Morelli is hilarious when he gets irritated with Minot's play. He's pretty hard on his hometown team. I think it's him doing color tonight? PSP is such a great thing, they do an outstanding job. Think they are doing WDA again.

Ok Norway then?

Abrahamson can beat a goalie clean from the dots in. She can fire a puck. Great hockey player.

2023-24 University of North Dakota Hockey Season

nothing wrong with gong back to USHL at this point in his career - he will still be an NCAA D1 player somewhere -
Our WJC team v any D1 NCAA team would be interesting too. Or SWE Canada etc...
-
i think we put 5 or 6 in this one now
-
We have more skill than most of the teams, you would think 3 v 3 would be to our advantage. Hopefully they can clean up play a bit in the second half, probably a little too much "pond hockey" at times.
-
Sweeds should win 3 v 3 but you never know
-
Assuming we win today do we get SWE/SUI winner?
-
We don't have to worry about getting bounced by the Slovaks this year.
-
I'm not having a problem cheering for the Sweedes over Canada. Probably spoke too soon.
-
Will he remain a Bulldog next season? I guess I would think so. Good deal for him to not forfeit his NCAA eligibility while being able to practice and play games at an elite level.

I guess I sorta get it (major junior) as school isn't for everyone but I think WHL, OHL, QMJHL are continually losing ground developmentally to NCAA. For example, I would have liked to have seen Minot's Shoenborn play D1 instead of going to WHL. He found himself in hockey purgatory after juniors where as Morelli is making a real run, signed an NHL contract with a tough squad to crack but is an AHL regular and hopefully gets the call. There's a kid playing for Sioux City who was offered a full ride at Penn State and chose to play in the OHL for Erie. He was on the U-17 NDTP. He would have been an over-ager this season for them and he was released. Got picked up in USHL but what's his path now? Had Cole Smith played major junior I don't believe he would have developed into an NHLer. He might not have been on anyone's radar which was good in his case hence the MJHL. He came into NCAA as a below average skater and left as an NHLer. I think it's a great story and example of what NCAA can do developmentally. Kanes, Toews, Bedards, Oshies etc... doesn't matter what path they take. Duncan Keith left Michigan State to play in the WHL as well but he's a world class defenseman either way. Lot of bad advice out there in my opinion.
