I have officiated mites to college since 97 - last game I’ve done was around 2020 or so - I can honestly say I do not miss it.

Eventually at Minot State during the early years along with several Lumberjacks which some of playing at UMC when they went D3 - Scotty Oliver was the coach at UMC - what a character 🤣 he and his successor Gary Warren - certainly cut from the same cloth

Demons - family moved after Fr. year Phillion was a Jr. - don’t know what he had for pts. they season but stayed his Sr. Year before going to USHL - Peluso went after his Jr. year - they are the same age

People probably forget about a guy like Mike Shauer from Demons too - went on to D3 and was really good - lot of good players in the west for several years prior and after that played decent hockey after HS

Asheim with 98 points that season too - grew up in Bottineau. Theel was a Bottineau product as well. Phillion from Crosby. I have an old State program from that year as I would collect them. Closest regular season game in WDA for that Demon team was 7-2 against Bottineau. Ya I would say they rolled through that season until State.

Granted Demons only faced WDA teams at state that season and WDA finished 1-2-3. Demons only in-state regular season loss coming from South who Bottineau beat to qualify for state. All 1 goal games as well with Jays taking them to double OT in the semis. Should also mention 3 D1ers from both Minot and Demons along with in my opinion the best player in the state who chose D1 baseball and football.

UNH was the lacrosse year correct? That was painful. Looking back maybe it would have been better if the lacrosse game kept going in OT so I didn't have to see that.

Yep she's good they got a couple 8th. graders that are really good too on the 15U team
