  1. Poker and litigation follow different rules. In litigation, there's discovery---where you show your cards before trial.
  2. https://www.nchchockey.com/composite-schedule Sorry if already posted, but looks like game times have been announced. Go Sioux!
  3. I was charged once (so far) for the season pass at $95.
  4. Sticking with the spirit of polar divisions in our country, I have to say it'll be 5-4 sometime in December (God, I hope by December), I am just not sure which candidate gets the 5 and which gets the 4. My bigger concern is how the losing candidate's fan base reacts to the decision.
  5. For sure. When the Daily Show was entertaining, Jon Stewart would often juxtapose dozens of short clips of media talking heads uttering the exact same, although unique, phrases. (Wish I had a clip). Those unique phrases would then become part of our daily lexicon. As you say, its as if someone in the shadows is literally setting a narrative. Kind of scary that hardly anyone realizes it.
  6. https://www.uscho.com/2001/04/02/top-und-recruit-pleads-guilty-to-felony/ In light of recent events, would this future mayor even make it to campus in 2020?
  7. I know. I don't disagree. Just unfortunate that UND let Tychonick get squeezed out while allowing Reid (another NHL pick) out of his commitment for things to end up like this. Hindsight is 20/20 as they say.
  8. Good grief . . . Is there still a spot for Tychonick or Reid?
  9. Thank you! I come to this thread for my much needed daily dose of humor in 2020, and when I have time, I may post here and there. But I appreciate that the nonsense from this thread hasn't spoiled the others (yet). Thanks for keeping it that way. And, Epstein didn't kill himself.
  10. If the University of North Dakota can do anything right with this situation, my two cents is that it shouldn't abandoned an 18-year old who may need guidance; but rather, it should educate and guide that 18-year old into becoming the responsible, humane adult he needs to become.
  11. https://www.toledoblade.com/Our-Town-Home-Sylvania/Our-Town-Schools/2016/03/12/Bullying-of-teen-worse-than-thought-mother-says.html I haven't heard anything in October 2020 that hadn't already been reported in the Toledo Blade in Spring 2016. This is just one of a few articles, which discusses the length of the over three minute assault. (In fairness to MM, there's an article where he presents his side of the story with some potentially mitigating factors). Berry knew everything. If he didn't, he was derelict in his duties to find that out.
  12. Makes me wonder how Tychonick (Junior), or even Luke Reid, would have compared to Miller (Freshman) this season. Also wonder how long this will follow UND hockey around this season.
  13. Right now, our government is doing things we think only other countries do.
  14. You know Ivanka is Trump's daughter, right? But I guess if you don't tell, Trump won't either.
  15. A friend of mine who will be voting Trump this Fall made similar remarks about Harris, and he literally said he could not support someone with that "lifestyle". After I reminded him that Melania was wife number #3, the silent look of embarrassment on his face that followed was priceless. Harris is indeed "yet another hypocritical politician" with so many flaws to point out. I don't understand why then folks even bother bringing up that aspect of her life.
  16. I don't care for Kamala Harris at all, and her appointments to insurance appeal and medical assistance boards in the 1990s by her sugar daddy politician don't help that opinion. But DAMN---now I gotta give her credit! Did not realize that's what she had to do to get 140,000 people to elect her District Attorney in 2003; 4,500,000 people to elect her Attorney General in 2010; and 7,500,000 people to elect her Senator in 2016!
  17. I was in Duluth the night before. Watching Wilco and Jacket covering Neil Young---that would have been quite the trifecta!
  18. Wilco is far too underrated and incredible live. Via Chicago blows my mind every time. I've been to the My Morning Jacket festival in Mexico. Helluva time; probably no other band I've seen live as many times.
  19. Exactly. "Recollect your thoughts, and don't get caught up in the mix, 'cause . . .
  20. Any artists out there who want to be an artist and wanna stay a star, and who don't wanna worry about the executive producer trying to be all in the videos, all on the records, dancing, then come to Death Row!
  21. 2pac's more prolific, especially if you include all the posthumous releases---so probably gotta lean that way. But Biggie's two albums easily stand up against any two 2pac albums, in my opinion.
  22. Holler if Ya Hear Me, Hail Mary, All Eyez on Me Disc 1, Troublesome '96, so many more . . . .
  23. Sentencing someone to death for last week's pot use. Sorry, dude. Your new proposal just lost all constitutional muster by the time your fingers left the keyboard.
