WOW! SINAL QUALITY THROUH THE ROOF HERE! 87% on Satwork and DirecPC Dish!!!!!! 90% on Fortec with31" dish, this is the way it SHOULD BE! GO SIOUX!
-
Now the signal is way UP! Must be the cloud cover, we have a print out of a spectrum analyzer results (During a game) posted a few pages back maybe someone could send that? Looking good now! GO SIOUX! 63% Satwork/DirecPC : ) 80% Fortec / 31" dish : )

Test card UP! Signals up and down! 40%-60% quality on Fortec Lifetime Ultra+31" dish . Signal breaking up! 40-50% quality on Satwork 3618 with the big DirecPC dish. (good for a Satwork) Good solid signal! Wait a moment slight break up.

Not much on this satellite vertical right enough..... http://www.lyngsat.com/g3c.html http://www.dmsiusa.com/charts.htm I heard the satellite company tell THEM what coordinates they will have to use, they may have no choice on the matter other than moving to another satellite.

I was talking to a satellite expert last night from CA. he told me there is a vast difference in the footprint power and shape between Horizontal (last year) and Vertical (This year) polarized satellite downlink frequencies (G3C), he will be checking out the signal quality from CA. tonight and tomorrow and I will report back on his results. At least the weather is a lot clearer today so should help tonight. Go Sioux!

I can assure you Iceberg the motorized system was fine for me tonight, the whole time I was talking to you I was on the 31" motorized dish. I can say that I have re-tweaked the dish this week after the HEAVY WINDS we had so it is peaked as best as I could get (as I do on EVERY install) I dont think my dish was blown off much or at all but what I did do was..... At the bottom of my dish reflector there is a small hole so I zip tied it to the LNB arm and started tightening it up, as I watched my signal quality meter I noticed the quality (BER) go higher the more I tightend it, got it up quite a bit, as you also know the FTA Fox news feed on IA-6 has been very weal the past week or two, after my tweak its not breaking up any longer : ) So by pulling back on the dish at the bottom and distorting the dish shape I was able to make it collect more signal. Dont try this at home guys in case you make things worse! But as pointed out above we should not have to be doing this, if you can get the CCTV channels you should be able to get the Sioux games.
-
All I can add is both my systems have out fine tonight, I use a 39"x23" DirecPC dish (got two left) but as I say even my 31" motorized dish is OK tonight!
-
Still the same signals here, no break up at all on both systems, go Sioux! Anyone looking for tips or install advice and other stuff you can pick up with these systems I am over at http://www.satelliteguys.us/forumdisplay.php?f=58 24/7, if you join up use PSB as your referance. Go Sioux!

Test card just popped up, a solid 50% quality signal on 31" dish and a very decent 40% on the Satwork with the DirecPC dish. Go Sioux!
-
Same signal levels for me tonight as above 50% quality! Go Sioux!
-
I am getting 50% quality on Fortec Star Liftime Ultra with 31" dish : ) On my DirecPC dish with Satwork 3618 I get around the same, but of course the Satworks are set low for quality, should be OK. The Iceberg just called and he has found the Game on G10 Analog TP 23 / V Go Sioux!
-
Its not the system its the signals! They are WAY up tonight, proves its not the dish or the receiver! This is great news!
-
Looks like EVERYONE will get to watch some hockey tonight!
-
GUYS THE POWERS WAY UP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Satwork with DirecPC dish = 56% Fortec with 30" = 74 % Quality! Go SIOUX!
-
The bigger the dish the better, but with Sioux signals being so low there is only so much a bigger dish can help but it will certainly keep it from cutting out breaking up as much, I have two large DirecPC dish and they also would help. I watched the game last night and todays football with only a few break ups (Satwork 3618) Any receiver can have a Universal LNBF added, being a universal will not help any its all about noise level, the universals that come with the 90cm are 0.5 so if you have an LNB thats a 0.6 right now the Universal will help slightly, I am not making any promises here but a bigger dish collects more signal, and a lower noise LNB pulls in more signal, but the Sioux games should be as good as the CCTV channels. No fair!
-
Just got a call from the Iceberg the football game is also on..... G11 Tp. 15 H Analog KU For those with a motorized system and an analog box.......
-
Satwork 3618 and DirecPC dish = 40% Quality (Satworks are set low working great) Fortec Star and 30" dish = 50% Quality (cutting in and out) The DirecPC dish does not need a new LNB the one it comes with is a standard KU LNBF : ) GO SIOUX!
-
I can recommend the Fortec Star Lifetime Ultra system with at least the 90cm dish and Universal LNB, if you want to be extra safe go with a BIGGER dish, but they cost more, then they cost extra to mail as they are an OVER SIZE item, see my web site for details, as I said above I have two DirecPC dish available that will go a LONG way to helping with the signal first come first served, it would be just a dish swap out, But the Fortec Star system with the bigger dish is ALL I sell now I have all but given up on Satworks, the Fortec system is a dream system as it has USALS so if you add a motor to the system it finds all the satellites its self, as I said above I also got the DOGS game last night on SBS6 satellite. With the Sioux signals so weak most folks would need is a BIGGER dish, again see my website as I have 90cm dish that should help, and/or a better LNBF.

Here is tonights problem.... http://www.intellicast.com/Local/USNationa...op&prodnav=none

Glad to hear it "bincitysioux" You also have a BIG dish thats the answer for this season, I am taking all this real bad as a fan and installer : (
-
The bigger the dish the better also the lower noise ratio of the LNB the better! I would stick with the 1m dish, I have a solid signal now on the DirecPC dish, but its not good enough. If it started to rain right now even I would start to have trouble, I have two more DirecPC dish here if any one has had enough, its not the cure but it certainly helps. I also now have all but given up on Satworks and I use Fortec Star with a 90cm dish and universal LNB and its not the answer but with the signals being so low all we can do is go bigger with the dish and a better LNB!
-
Same here! Its cutting in and out on the Satwork 3618 and the BIG DirecPC dish! I am going to swap over to the Fortec now, as its unwatchable on the above!
-
Got still low, 40% quality Satwork 3618 and DIRECPC dish! 50% quality on 30" dish using Fortec Star Lifetime Ultra! Also watching the Dogs game on SBS6!
-
Fingers and toes crossed! Go Sioux!
-
Still a solid signal here with 2 minutes to go! Great Game!
