It's always a good idea to have a spare LNB around, at least then you can rule that out. I would double check the LNB Freq. (L.O.) is set correctly for the type of LNB you have, if you have blind (AUTO) scan try that, many times you will pick something up with that, then it's just a case of fine tuning from there!

Here are all the angles need to point a fixed satellite! Prescott Valley, Latitude 34

Yes the games on right now, I am getting 75% signal quality here in the Minneapolis area! Here are the transponder details for the Sioux game freq. 12031 Poarity V SR. 4880 Give me your zip code for all the angles needed in your area! More or less enter the above in the antenna setup screen then move the dish until you see signal quality, signal means nothing!

I have a had a few calls from satellite users saying they only get sound (Audio) from the right hand speaker of their TV. They were using the Traxis DBS 3500 Easy fix on the remote......... Hit the audio Button Hit the Left hand (V+) button Hit Exit Then you will get double Mono. The game is only broadcast on the Left hand Audio channel.

Right! It was the PERFECT location, nice and low so if it does get covered in snow and ice a Hot sponge will save the day!

Whoops! I have lost contact with another fan, Bob called me on Monday and never left a full phone number. Bob's phone number ends with 5556. Bob give me a call anytime and I will be sure to get back to you ASAP. You were asking if these 30" dish can be installed on a roof. Yes, that's where mine is, but it really is a last resort. These bigger dish are better as LOW as they can go. They are so big that if the wind catches them they may flex, and if they are kept low they are easy to clean and wipe off snow and Ice. Remember these "off-set dish "appear" to be aiming lower than where they actually are pointing, usually they are pointing +22

It never changed the whole night here, any tree's infront or over hanging your dish? I checked the signal quality right before they went off air and it was at 75%
-
Signal seems to be UP a wee bit tonight! 76% quality here in the metro! (I use a 90ch dish of course and an Invacom LNBF with the MIGHTY Traxis DBS 3500!) GO SIOUX! Watch out for my pal Lefty Curran who will be on the ice tonight!

What can I say, a BIG Sprig fan here!

Give me a call and we can walk through it. I had one call tonight with a similar issue he had not used the system all summer so had disconnected it, and had the cable from the dish motor plugged in the wrong input. It should go to LNB in. HAve a look at the motor there should be a green light on the under side, it maybe orange. If there is no light go over all connections, start behind the receiver as above. If you have a light then at least you are getting power to the motor, check the cable between the motor and LNB. Call for more help or keep me posted here or by e-mail We will get you back up and running again! It's usually something simple.

Yes CBS Newspath is only on G26 @ 93

Squirtcoach, your problem may well be that rather large tree in front of your home, I put the dish as far to the east of your home as it would go, this year the satellite in use is 4

Some folks with manual entry receivers are having trouble, they problem was solved when they used DFreq. 12033
-
YES! I am watching on Satellite right now ! Signal is up with 72% signal quality here in the metro!
-
Can't wait! Go Sioux!

"I can barely operate a remote" Seems I can barley operate a phone, so we are on par there I will give you a buzz tomorrow.
-
You know your right, many folks would have saved money if they had just installed a motor from the get go. But of course just a few short years ago most receivers could not be used with a motor, it was not until the Satwork 3688 (With DiSEqC 1.2) hit the market that more of my customers have the option of moving the dish from one satellite to another using just the remote control. Not only do you get some extra away Sioux games but you get games from all over the country. I only watch live sports, news or music these days. If it's not live I am not interested. Main thing about a motor is you never have to get it repointed. As I sometimes say.......... Buying a satellite system without a motor is like buying a car without wheels

Can't keep a good Sprig down can you It's the most wonderful time of the year

I passed by Grand Forks one day a year or so ago but was out-voted on a stop off to see The Ralph. I would love to make it to an actual game one day it seems like an amazing atmosphere. 2nd only to the Glasgow Celtic soccer fans from back home. (Same colors and green wigs) I guess the next best thing is watching the home (And a few away) games live on first generation digital satellite. Here is hoping for a good strong signal again this season! Go Sioux

PSB here, I am a LICENSED satellite installer in the Twin Cities area and I have installed quite a few systems for fans (And players) Overall I am a Sioux fan. I am NOT here to profiteer (Honest Guv.) Anywho I just got a call today from a Fan who we shall call Jason H. from St. Paul. He was asking if I am available to repoint his dish.......... Does a bear......... Is the pope a .......... YES, the problem is I deleted his phone message then tried to call him, next problem is he left the wrong phone # (Or more like I copied it down wrong!) Anyway Jason if you read this please give me a another call again and I will come over and re-point the dish. I have a BRAND new satellite meter now that not only shows me the signal/Quality but it can actually show me a picture! So it's now possible to REALLY fine tune these dish and get them CRACK on the satellite! Go Sioux!

Satellite Move for The Fighting Sioux Sports Network
PSB replied to cheesemover's topic in Men's Hockey
Looks like its FTA but its a C-Band freq. (4 digits) so would require at LEAST a 6' dish No problem for me and Iceberg
