-
COOL! Signal seems A LOT better today for the football game, I am getting 60% quality on 30" dish and 75% quality on my DirecPC dish : )
-
Check this link, someone with a spectrum analyzer scanned the G3C satellite during the game, the Sioux game is the lowest signal there...... spiked signals are analog haystack shaped are digital............the game is at 12000MHz : ( http://www.satelliteguys.us/attachment.php?attachmentid=2661 The time is wrong on the shot but it was done during the game!
-
HERE WE GO! Test card up! 50% Quality! should be no problems tonight, if there are I can switch to the DirecPC dish. Go Sioux..................ssssswwwweeeeeeeeeeeeeeppppppppppp!
-
Just swapped over to my DirecPC dish Quality went from 50-70+ : ) On the football game! I WILL be watching Sioux hockey tonight! I dont know if I can post pictures here but I installed the DirecPC dish upside down, looks cool! Go Sioux!
-
Cool we will all be over next time we have bad weather.... The football is on now and its perfect Quality 50% on Fortec. I see there is a BIG satellite dish behind the field : )
-
The thing is as the service is FTA we cant complain...........I am hooking up my BIG DirecPC dish today and the weather looks a lot better. Go Sioux!
-
Kick the dish for us if you see it........it must be a DirecTV dish they are using to uplink this year
-
I have lost all picture and audio so you are doing as good as me : ( CCTV is at 85% but thats on a Fortec and the Quality is just set higher, I would say it may help but at this rate is does not look as if it will be enough..... If I had a better truck I would drive up there and repoint their uplink dish and wipe the rain off it so everyone can see the game I KNOW what the games mean to everyone : (
-
Should at least be a bit better weather wise tomorrow, lost picture here now! I will also be hooking up my BIG DirecPC dish tomorrow to see if that helps, bigger dish but the LNB is not as new/low noise. Time to dry off the dish again I think, I am available for service calls tomorrow but at this rate even I am not seeing anything and I have the $500 signal meter and a motorized dish I can tweak the dish to the east and west but it only helps a little, as I said the CCTV is not even flickering here and thats about all I can do these weak signals suck!
-
Sioux Score! TWICE Its been a long year since last year 100 deg tempatures, zero temps. I would suggest a service call dish repeak if in doubt, again if the CCTV channels are there the system is fine, maybe some fine tuning will help!
-
Here is the problem (along with the very weak signal this year) http://www.intellicast.com/Local/USLocalWi...op&prodnav=none
-
The problem is the VERY weak signal and the overcast wet conditions, I switched to the Satwork ST 3688 and its slightly worse, so I will stick with the Fortec tonight, all I can suggest is if your dish is low enough go out and GENTLY dry it off, same with the LNB. Thats what I am about to do..right now Quality (THE MAIN SIGNAL TO WORRY ABOUT) is at 44%
-
Got signal at (45% Quality) the usual place, very weak signal again, staying solid, with slight break up! COOL! Using Fortec Star Lifetime Ultra system. Should just get better as the night goes on as the heavy cloud and rain is moving out of the metro area, now if EVERYONE would step outside and blow to the north east it may help : ) Go Sioux! 12000Mhz V 4880
-
Cool Thanks Iceberg! I will be watching all three on my new FortecStar Lifetime Ultra system I will post the Quality levels here...Go Sioux!
-
Great news I will be watching all three! Go Sioux!
-
Same as above again for tonights game : ) Signal Quality 75% on Fortec Star Lifetime Ultra.
-
Tonights game is about to start on...... SBS6 11975 H 8999 Quality 50 they way it should be on G3C! GO SIOUX!
-
I guess it will be at the same place, if I see it I will post here! 12000 freq. V Pol. 4880 S/R.

I wrote to Jamie at the Ralph : ( He is a man of few words....... Hello Jamie, Thanks for all your hard work bringing us the Sioux home games on KU satellite : ) My names Pete Bain and I am a KU installer from the St. Paul MN. area, I am lucky enough to have installed quite a few systems for Sioux fans in the metro area and this year as I am sure you know I have been asked a few times why the systems don't seem to be pulling in the games the way they did last year, don't get me wrong I am not complaining as I have REALLY enjoyed all the games and never miss a game on satellite, in fact with my motorized system I have even been lucky enough to pick up a few away games last year on other satellites, I don't want to bug you but I was wondering if you could tell me how the game is uplinked and if it were possible to bump up the power slightly : ) I use the Channel master 1009 IFD for all installs and have never had a problem with any other KU installs, even this weekends games were right on the fringe of reception and I have a slightly bigger dish and lower noise LNBF than most of the fans have, I was just looking for any ideas or hints to help out the local fans get to see the home games. This weekend all was well for me until the end of the 3rd when it started breaking up slightly but thankfully the post game show was perfect. I would be most interested in any pictures of your satellite setup if you have any as first and foremost I am a satellite hobbyist, talking of witch I am a moderator at a FTA MPEG2 forum at www.satelliteguys.us if you ever find the time I invite you to come over there and have a look there is a nice bunch of satellite nuts there and its always fun, we also run satellite related giveaways just in case you want to get involved, QUITE a few Sioux fans there, I tell all my customers to check it out, my name/handle over there is PSB. Thanks for your time and as I said I am not complaining as I realize maybe more than most that with FTA satellite you take what you get and are thankful, but I would surely like the fans to get a slightly better signal than they have been getting since the coordinates change this year, hope you have a nice week ahead. Go Sioux! Response..... "What size dish do you use?" I use a 1m but most fans use a 75cm dish " I use a 75cm dish and it was fine here all weekend"

One or two freeze ups now and then now, quality down to 37%
-
Test card up again right now, about the same quality as last night 38% on my Satwork 3688............ 11999 Mhz V 4882 S/R Go Sioux!
-
I had a flicker round about then also, try up one channel then back down sometimes works for me, if it locks again..........go Sioux!
-
YES! The Test card is up and the music is a playing, 39%Quality here, its still on the low side, but its working so we cant complain! I would much rather we were getting the same quality as CCTV at 90%..... Go Sioux!
