Sioux Logo up and solid at 39% Quality,(Satwork 3688) Saturday 23rd. October
-
Hope not, all I found on SBS6 was a Boston/ Notre Dame hockey game and a football game, also tried analog KU band a few feeds and a football game there. To be fair there seems to be very bad weather over ND. Now it seems its on SBS6 C Band (BIG Dish) 9664 SR 9000 V
-
Just got a tip the feed is on the SBS6 satellite, for those with a motorized system, I am scanning right now..........
-
Had a quick flash of the Sioux logo about 25 mins ago, 39% quality then it went off, signal now is down to 33% and no logo, still plenty of time until 7:35pm CST. The football game last Saturday was stable at 39% right through the game, the Satwork Quality level is set very low.

I have my old BEC 2000 DBS receiver here so give me a call at the office(6517689150) and we can run through the setup screen together, hopefully we can solve it that way.
-
Hopefully its not the dish that has moved but I am starting to think its that, you have changed nothing since last season on the receiver, and all the settings seem right, strange you are getting quality but cant scan anything in! You have also done the factory default and made sure the antenna has been set up again, give me a call if you are still stuck!
-
The Sioux use the G3C satellite, but when you are using a fixed dish it does not matter what name you use, but your receiver should have a G3C satellite option. Enter the coordinates and when you get quality do a scan, the game is over now so try for the CCTV-9 channel to confirm your settings 11775 freq. H 20781 s/r The standard LNBF L.O. setting should be 10750, if you can pick up this channel you just have to then enter the above Sioux coordinates, I think you said you have the BEC receiver maybe someone with one will chip in with there exact settings, I have since upgraded to a Satwork 3688, I still have my BEC 2000 but its for sale, so its not hooked up, its boxed. I got home in time to see the end of the football : ) Perfect Picture!
-
Working great here at the above coordinates, (Thanks Iceberg) The signal quality is still low at this end but not so much as a flicker yet : ) Signal Quality= 39 Pretty good for a VERY cloudy day on a Satwork 3688 Go Sioux!

A bigger dish and a lower noise LNBF will help with low signals, if thats the only problem that is going on tonight! I am sure a few dish are slightly out of whack not being used for a year, I have a motorized system and I moved the dish a notch or two and I got the quality from 35 to 36 and it certanly helped slightly, Iceberg is reporting very bad quality level on his system where it is also breaking up, I am sure he will have something to say here first thing Monday morning, not a happy camper "never had a problem last year"
-
Could you gleem any info on why the signal quality is so low tonight? They need to kick up the power notch! I just got a new LNBF and all my other signals are better, just this one causing trouble : (
-
What receiver do you have! It should be in the manual, you need to go to TP manager and enter the above coordinates, but the quality tonight is the worst I have seen for a while, just as well its a clear night or we would have no chance! Best to just keep blind scanning and if the quality rises it will land on the channel. What quality have you got on the CCTV channels? I dont have 3618 in front of me and I usually just do blind scans with it, I gave my 3618 to a Sioux fan to watch the game tonight as he had a D.O.A receiver! I have the 3688 now.
-
On my Satwork 3688 it scans in at 11999 V 4882 Its breaking up somewhat, if you are getting CCTV-4 and CCTV-9 then it is nothing to do whis the dish or the install, its just not catching the channel because the quality is so low? I am still at 35 % quality, breaking up, same satellite as last year G3C.
-
Very low quality level here also 35% CCTV is 90% 2-2
-
So much for the 12000 /H /4880 they gave us! Its VERTICAL! Here we go! Go Sioux!
-
IT would take around 30 seconds to move that dish to the G3C satellite and enter the Sioux coordinates! I am SURE they will get it together soon!
-
Dave K. The two systems would have to be completely independent of each other, apart from sharing the same grounding point. You need a new 30" dish and a new run of RG6 coax to the receiver, as for the set up, if you have ever done a DirecTV install, its a little bit harder but loads of people manage to get them set up, if the worst comes to the worst an installer with Ku experience can help you aim the dish. Plus I am only a phone call or e-mail away for advice and setup help. Cant wait!
-
Thats great news! Thanks for letting us know!
-
Its usually just the FSSN games, but last season I also got 2-3 away games on my motorized FTA system.
-
This list goes all the way into 2005..... http://www.theralph.com/new2/Watch_The_Sio...h_The_Sioux.php The blind search receivers will find it anyway, and we will post it here ASAP : )

new satellite coordinates! http://www.theralph.com/new2/Watch_The_Sio...n/Satellite.htm

The analog receivers can be used for occasional sports feeds, last night there was Nascar on one satellite and there is a full line up of Football this weekend : ) (you would also really need a motorized dish to get full benefit from it) I think there was one Sioux away game on analog Ku band satellite last year, these analog receivers can be picked up really cheaply on e-bay and from people who have quit the big ugly dish and have went Directv or Dish. At least this year I will be ready for anything : ) There are a lot of people who have managed to install these systems themselves, but I am available to help anyone no matter where they got the system, as long as they say the magic words.........Go Sioux : ) Look forward to meeting you Sioux fan, if selected : )

GLAD to help, cant wait for this season, it seems like almost a year since last season : ) I will be watching every home game if its on satellite, and any away I can , I have also managed to get an analog receiver (Thanks Iceberg) so I am covered for all posibilities.........bring em on! Go Sioux!
