I am at around 79% quality tonight. I would wipe off the dish if you can, then if needed at that point, lean gently on each side of the dish while looking at the signal quality (you may need a cell phone) , then do the same with the elevation, pull getly up and down. The dish may just need tweeked onto their transponder. if none of the above works try skewing the LNB slightly. lastly very often moving the LNB closer or further away from the dish reflector also helps the quality. This focal distance is important for collecting as much signal as possible from the full dish dimentions!

I got the football yesterday around 75%, tonight the hockey was about 69-79%, but then the last few minutes of the game it jumped to 73% Quality.

Feel free to give me a call and we can enter the transponder manually, this will help with the signal quality as Blind/Auto scan stops as soon as it see's a signal. So your Freq. may be off slightly... 651-768-9150
-
Try an auto scan, sometimes it helps fine tune the signal, it is overcast and cloudy. Whan you say bad picture, you mean breaking up, or snowy?
-
"It is pixelating" Try a transponder scan and enter the exact coordinates.... Then add +/- to the Freq. and watch the signal quality. Freq. 12024 Pol. V SR. 4880

The broadcast will be in SD as per usual, so no point in going HD quite yet. I use the Match Box Pro USB receiver to watch and record the Sioux games. It's a small satellite reciever the size of a ..... match box : ) The reason I mention it is it can do SD + HD, (also does 4:2:2 and AC3 audio) and you can set it up like a Tivo to record the game even if you are not home! See my YouTube page for a short video where I use the Match Box Pro USB receiver to record most everything! I am PSB2USA on YouTube! GO SIOUX 2009/10

Yep for tonight!

With the Traxis DBS try a pid scan...... From the Dish channel....... menu to the channel screen Select TV Channel list OK Hit #5 Enter 0000 Hit #5 Create Go to TP Index Select the Sioux transponder Enter these Pids Add a quick name Sioux (or just S for speed) Video 481 Audio 482 PCR 481 save and exit You may then have to scan the transponder again.
-
There have been a few reporting that, getting around 70% signal quality on the Dish channel, EVEN after nudging east and west a tad to PROVE they are bang on 121w.......... But they are not getting enough signal for a lock on the Sioux feed
-
Check your LNB type is correct (standard) then re-scan again! Add 5 to the signal Freq. or try -5 from the signal freq. Sometimes the LNB or receiver freq. are off slightly, but a blind scan should take care of that anyway!
-
thats 123w Try scanning 119w if its not on your list of satellites add it!
-
Feeds signals are sometimes a wee bit lower, your LNB may need skewed a bit more (if its a fixed dish) if its a motorized system than skew should not be the issue!
-
If you go to TP scan you can edit the SR to 4880 then save or scan that new transponder! I would try and get back to your true south satellite and see if thats there, then you may have to try a re-set of the receiver, turn off thre switch on the back fro 30 seconds! Allways a good idea! Call me if you need help!

Echostar 9 - 121 w 11840 V 4880 Sioux feeds been up for around 20mins!

Also scanning...........
-
That's good news, now we just need a win tonight to top it off
-
Signal Quality dropped down to just 79% tonight That will work! Let's hope the Sioux start tonight as they finnished last nights game! GO SIOUX!
-
Try adding a couple of points to the Freq. so for the Sioux try 12191 if you don't get signal quality there try 12183 (As all LNB's are off Freq. to each other slightly. This sometimes gets worse over time) Good Luck!
-
12060 V 26700 also on 91
-
81% Signal Quality here in the SW Metro on the MIGHTY Traxis 3500 with a 90cm Dish and Invacom LNB. Does not get much better than that! GO SIOUX!
-
I jst scanned 91
-
If all else fails try a Blind scan, then let us know what channels you pick up and at what Freq. We can then tell you what way to move the dish and if the LNB is setup correctly!
-
I was up at 81% signal Quality for the full game, I use an Invacom LNBF with the CLEAR plastic cover modification as mentioned in the Homebrew area of VisionPlus.US! GREAT Game!
-
As above, make sure there is no more signal to be gained by tweaking the dish (Including skew) if not then maybe an update of the LNB will help. I found the new JSC321s LNB's to work VERY well, they cost around $22 shipped but perform like the Top of the Range Invacom LNB's!!!
