I was getting around 73% signal Quality, you can expect half that on a Satworks receiver. Maybe time for a re-tweak or to upgrade the LNB. Also check all cable ends. The New LNB's these days have much lower noise level and better quality that just a few years ago (Sounds like you may have a gret "Spitfield" LNB

Sorry not familiar at all with the Cronicview 4000 (Sorry could not resist) Usually there is a way to modify/add a transponder. Look for transponder Manager in the menu.
-
Yes the signal is up but the game has not quite started yet! Now the show has started LIVE!
-
SYMBOL RATE should be 4880
-
Maybe wind? What kind of motor, some are REAL bad for b a c kl a s h In the USALS menu you can sometimes off-set your Longitude to compensate!
-

Indeed! But that signal sometimes is weak, so dont worry too much if you cant get it right away. Take a break and try again in 2o minutes. Kinda weak right now here!

Here is an example of Digital Quality I recorded last season.......... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4Pfj7ni18Ug Make sure to watch this video in High Quality, youtube does not do the quality of picture justice so it WILL be a lot better
-
Cool, you just NEVER know what you will scan in on FTA, I see one feed called COSMOS TV, seems to be latin American! All set for Sunday! GO SIOUX!
-
This one is GOOD and strong right now, looks like Football to me FREQ. 11989 POL. H SR. 6110 Just rescanned 91w with my TRAXIS receiver and I get 7 TV channels/feeds
-
As Sprig says, that seems normal, just looking at that transponder now and there is a weak signal with colored TEST screen! If in doubt just before you start pointing the dish ask here or on the VisionPlus.US satellite forum for someone to confirm signal / Picture!
-
For pointing your dish there is a 24/7 signal....... FREQ. 12060 POL. V SR. 26700 It's also mentioned to the right of the video if you click on MORE INFO

One things is for sure we will help you every bit of the way! I suggest starting a new post (Here or) on the VisionPlus.US satellite forum. Give us your zip code and we will give you ALL the angles needed to point the dish at your true south satellite. After that using USALS all the other satellites will also be lined up! We will also supply you with a LIVE transponder to look at while pointing the dish. You will be watching for signal QUALITY only. -------- I have had a lot of contact from fans asking me to pop by and re-point their dish, so I made the below video to try to save them the hassle/$ I know a lot have mentioned they will be doing it this weekend, I hope it helps a few. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6sb2F1YIbvg GO SIOUX PS. yababy8 I went ahead and started a thread about your setup, I have already entered all the angles needed and a live transponder on your true south satellite........... http://visionplus.us/smf/index.php?topic=5182.msg12734#new

Right! They play songs for the first 10-15 mins before the game, always cool to tune in eary. Watch out for the Green Sioux Clown!!
-
I think thats against the law Fetch. Unless someone buys the rights of course. Otherwise I could easily re-broadcast the games in digital quality on the PSB FTA SHOW TV Channel http://www.ustream.tv/channel/psb-fta-satellite-show I would be willing to do it if we could find a legal way round it
-
Sorry not familiar with that receiver. But you should be able to pick up the signal anyplace in the conus USA. Installing a FTA receiver is only slightly harder than say a DirecTV or Dish Notwork system, you will need a KNOWN live transponder from the satellite you are aiming at, then you will be watching for signal QUALITY only. Its a good idea to be able to see a TV when pointing the dish! If you need detailed help please feel free to join us at the VisionPlus.US Satellite forum where we will help you every step of the way! Good Luck On a side note I noticed that the G11 satellite is now also at 93
-
It takes seconds flat to move from one satellite to another, especially if you move to a Horizontal transponder (The motor moves faster when getting the full 17vDC from the receiver) . And I am ONLY interested in Sioux Hockey anyway. GO SIOUX!
-
Yes Bob, one member of the VisionPlus.US forum just worked out all the codes for the TRAXIS DBS 3500 recently! I often log onto his receiver to show folks how it works! http://visionplus.us/smf/index.php?topic=4433.0 S-Video is best for video but you also have to run audio cables also, as S-Video ONLY does video
-
Got to love those motors. "As I often say Buying a Satellite system without a motor is like buying a car without wheels."

Dish Network have a new PAY AS YOU GO account for part time viewers, you may want to look into that! You ONLY pay when you are actually watching TV. ideal for part timers! Last season I was in contact with a local GF installer who seemed to know his stuff. If I find his contact info I will send it to you !
