Expect that zero players have gone directly to SDSU. What exactly have those playas done, with the expection of Rebraca*, in their new homes at the D1 level? Give me one success story. *We all know that Rebraca would have stayed here if it wasn't for the fact that his visa requried his grad program to be in-person and that wasn't an option.

It would show that last year was a massive fluke and would put the program back on track. The first two years of Sather's squad showed improvement in the conference record and actually proved to be competitve against the top of the conference. If Nero, Sueker, Mathews, and Levias were all full strength last year... do they finish 6-24?

Far too much is being made into what happened last year. Think the team is getting a bad rap. Let it fuel motivatation for this coming season.
-
Agreed, and even 2nd is within striking distance depending on how USD adapts to a new staff.
-
Dont you know, The Vols are back!

Since it is the bye week: I have the important questions to ask the group. How do you feel the season is going so far? What are some surprises? Dissapointments? What are the expectations and things to look out for in the 2nd half of the season?

Which end does UND shoot twice? Sections 1-5 and 20-24?
-
Yet.. still wasn't as bad as the Brady one from yesterday.

Last year was rock bottom. This year... could it be the year of the comeback?
-
Vikings could be 7-1 rolling into Buffalo. However that November schedule is wicked.
-
But they probably won't have a win against a common opponent and UNDs win over Mo State should weight more than their win over Western. Plus their non-conference hasn't been special. I think in that situation they will take both, but I think they will stub their toe at some point and go 6-5.

I'm splitting the difference here and saying 4. SDSU and NDSU are the obvious 2 locks unless something drastic happens. SIU should win 8 games if they beat the teams it should. UND should have 7 wins if they beat the teams it should. The 5th team will be tough. ISU-Red might have the best shot at getting to 7-4 if they beat the teams they should. Mo State, UNI, and USD* have to win out to get to 7 and since they all play each other still, 2 of them will be knocked out for sure. YSU has a tough finish with ISU-Red, Mo State, and SIU finish. Think there will be a better picture in about 2 weeks on who will have a real shot and who will fall off the table. *Crazy to say this, but out of these 3 teams... I think the Yotes could be the one to run the table.

Those two are a forced marriage right now after the whole study issue.

Okay. The Giants are legit this year. NFC East are going to get 2 teams in the playoffs this year. Maybe 3 The divison doesn't suck this year.
-
Its better than that, 4-2! Playoffs are attainable if they just take care of business against the traps (ISU-Blue, USD, and AC)
-
Would put them at 11-7 in the conference and probably a spot in the Summit League Tournament? Yes. 100% should win it
-
I hope this bye week might allow a few light bulbs on the defensive side of the ball to click so the rest of the year can be even better.

Flagship State

So with most teams at the halfway point. Valley has 5 teams (SDSU, NDSU, UND, SIU, ISU-Red) in a good spot for a playoff berth. YSU at 3 losses, they basically need to win out to get in. However, next three games are quite winnable and could be 5-3 going into ISU-Red, Mo State and SIU finish. USD, UNI, Mo State, and ISU-Blue at 4 losses. Going to be hard to see any of them getting in at 6-5 so they need to win out. WIU out with 5 losses.
