Not Brocks fault they loved Jose Mohler for whatever reason. Also, teh Bisons weren’t exactly loaded at the receiving positions early on for him. Eventually they were but not initially.

Id argue that Brock clearly had a little something extra to him from the start though. Just the way he carried himself.

Predictable? Gadget plays on huge 4th downs are considered predictable?

I’d say it’s more of Danny overmatching himself at times. There are games where his play calls just flow together and it’s a thing of beauty. Then there are moments that leave us all befuddled. I just don’t remember a time where it felt like an opposing defense just schemed our offense into the ground. There have been game where the opposing d just had superior players though.

I’m D1 we just have consistently done a terrible job of handling success. All three conference championships were followed by complete let downs. Each time the fan base was ready to explode and were let down. In the past the issue was relaxing after success. If you watch Saban Coach, the more success they have, the harder he is on his guys. Up 20 in the national title game and he’s not afraid to lose his mind over the smallest of mental errors. That trickles down to the rest of the program. We lack that.
