The way SDSU finished that game with mental mistake after mental mistake kind of tainted a really hard hitting defensive battle.... that illegal substitution penalty left me dumbfounded.
-
That explains why its taking so long...... I assume he drives a red convertable too.
-
Perhaps I should have used pink font for the bus faire comment? I'm not desperate, just tired of waiting for gt to finish measuring his Dick.
-
You guys cover buss faire and it a done deal. How much is westerns buyout?
-
Better than playing a D2 team.
-
Lets make the game happen, in the dome, once North Dakota gets another taste of that game they will demand more. Doesn't even matter who wins or by how much, the publicity would be insane and the atmosphere at and leading up to the game would be like no other. Nobody cares about Western Carolina anyway, buy them out and get an instant classic on the schedule.
-
We could chip in on a buy out of their Western Carolina game and schedule a game for the 14th in the Fargo Dome. I'm sure their fans no matter how arrogant and stubborn they may be would much rather watch the Bizun pound UND instead of pound Western Carolina. Hopefully Montana pulls the trigger and we can make a deal.

Why not just a giant barrel half msu colors and half und colors? Simple and hard to break like those weird B1G trophies.
-
That bye will be crucial to the success of next years team. It would be nice if it was a week or two later but it is defiantly better than not having one till november.
-
Good thing is that UND found out how good a winless UNC team was last year and know that they've improved so there should be no underestimating by UNDs team.
-
Northern Colorado is much improved this year and contrary to popular belief they were a pretty talented team last year. Last year they obviously didn't win, losing can set in like a virus and it must have in a big way for them last year. This year they are better and have been a tough team to play recently. It should be a good game for sure.
-
Lots of recruiting going on this week hopefully we grab a stud or two, the recruiting class so far looks pretty good.
-
They're bigger than he was but certainly not nearly as powerful. I understand that Weston holds the all time power index record at UND by a very wide margin. Also I know none of the current guys have sub 10.5 100m speed like Weston and Chappell both had. They all have areas to improve that would make them better. Jake needs to get alot bigger. If he were at 190 he'd be a beast. Jer doesn't seem to have a whole lot of room left on his frame but could get leaner and faster, he's ridiculously quick but doesn't have the ability to pull away from guys for a long run yet. PJ needs to keep getting bigger and needs to get a step faster, he's plenty quick and could be a load with another 10 lean pounds. Maybe if Shaugabay can get up around 220 he can be a legit power back, he certainly runs violently already. Pack on some more good weight on him and he could be a beast. I'm also excited to see Varner develop, he seems kinda like a bigger Miller and runs really smooth. Hopefully the run game picks back up next year and these guys all have a big impact.

I'm not sure where the negativity was in my posts other than it sucking that Sutton is hurt.
-
The only time Jake and Jer are successful between the tackles is when they reach the second level untouched. That is why they were successful last year when the blocking was better. This year Sutton has had to carry more of the load because neither small backs can be expected to make yards through contact. They will each get more carries against unc but there will be someone else getting carries to provide size. They've always used 3 backs and like a power back speed back combo so someone else will be in the rotation.
-
That sucks Sutton is done. Sparks and Shaugabay should provide some size back there. I wouldnt be comfortable with the thought of haveing 2 rbs that weigh about 170 a piece carrying the load

Better than the SUU game that's for sure. Bye Week travels pretty well, lots of alums in this area.
-
Bye week has a better defense than NDSU and a worse offense than Savanna St.
-
Theres a reason we both hit Arizona hard in recruiting these days.
-
It was Bridges, clearly he learned his lesson from when he fielded that one kickoff earlier this year at about the 5 yard line. Must be good coaching.

The standards for me are the same. For this team they have been below the standard in every game. But the turn around from the first half to the second half yesterday showed alot of mental toughness which has been absent most of this year. 7 points in a half is great for any defense against a good team. It was a breath of fresh air to see a runner get stopped for a short gain or even a loss for the first time this year. To meet the standard the defense needs to be tough all the time and stuff the run with regularity and be aware on long passes like the good old days with Donavan Alexander. Yesterdays second half was only a glimmer of hope, something to build on perhaps.
-
Was anyone else impressed with the defense in the second half? Without that bs pi on a 3rd down, where Mackey played great D for maybe his 5th time ever, call that gave SUU 7 points the D pitches a shutout on a team with a sure fire NFL prospect at QB. The first half sucked all around but the 2nd half is always more important and yesterday the team finished the way I wish they had all year.
-
Why dump it short when you can run around in the backfield for 6 seconds and then bomb it 60 yards backshoulder?
-
Or is it just too many young guys at a few positions and lack of toughness more so than lack of talent
