What they need is an FBS win

I was talking about their defense. Ours was garbage last night. An embarrassment to the '72 team in attendance and to anyone who has every played kick ass defense at UND. That said I bet they look wayyyy better the rest of the year with a chip on their shoulder.

And the team brought the fireworks against a legit team. Some of the fans are starting to make me ashamed to be associated with UND. The football team deserves better. I'm not sure what else 'those fans' are looking for? Do they want more defense? Less scoring? would a 27-3 game be more entertaining? At least Bison fans appreciate their teams.

UND has an opportunity to play a pretty good FBS team that will end up in a bowl game this week. This game could be winnable much like the Northern Illinois game was when they were a team that finished in the top 25. SDSU won big against Army even though the stats would suggest that it was a closer game than what the score shows. WR Ezell Ruffin had a big game with 5 rec for 134 yrds, QB was 15-21 for 215 1TD, and RBs Muema and Kazee combined for 151 yards and 2 TDs. Their offense was balanced against Army so hopefully our D can relearn how to tackle and pressure the QB this week and give us a chance. I'm assuming that SDSU will look at the film from the PSU game and not respect our ability to run which will hopefully open up some lanes for our backs to control the clock and help the defense out. I expect our WRs to be great all year no matter who we play which will lend itself well to our run game. If Hanson doesn't return I expect Hendrickson to continue to roll and make huge plays at key moments. If the hogs can wake up in the run game this week I think we can win the game, it comes down to them. Prediction: SDSU 20 UND 26

That defense today was not a UND defense. That was an embarrassment to the '72 team in attendance and all other teams that established the tradition of defensive excellence.

It feels good that Galladay and Hendrickson had my back today. I tried telling people about what Galladay was but it was nice to see it out there today. That one hander that got hit out at the last second almost took the roof off of the Alerus.

UNDs never had a receiver like Golladay. Just like we've never had one like Jackson. Those two are going to terrorize the red zone.

I was a little bored today so I looked up the Portland St game against Carroll College on the web and watched some of it. I did not come away thinking that PSU looked anything special. I was expecting more I guess, I know they weren't using their full play calling potential in the game and all but they didn't appear to have superior athletes all over the field. They have some good ones but nothing crazy and not an abundance of them. I am now fully expecting a win.

Or play good teams like we have this year and have a fun team to watch.

I'm not sure if you could notice through your s hit colored glasses that the student section last Thursday was huge and loud against an awful team. They will be back and maybe you'll notice the difference this time

They should be given more tickets. Simple answer. 3000 or so tickets should suffice for now. The ones that can't get into that will ensure that we always have students at games and the demand will increase.

Students should never have to pay for tickets other than what they pay in tuition. The cost for tickets is included in tuition.

He could. I've had the same injury and didn't get it checked out until a week after it happened and played a few games on it. He would probably have to wear a big soccer shin guard on it and wouldnt be too mobile but could make it happen. If it were to get hit again he would be in excruciating pain. Thankfully it happened early enough so he can heal and be ready for the conference schedule.

. If he breaks his fibula again he will be out for 2-3 more weeks not the whole year. I cant think of a bone that is less of a big deal to break.

True but they were a D2 team and it didn't seem like many of the fans were willing to factor into the game with the talent discrepancy. Put a good opponent out there and 01 playoff crowd noise here we come
