  1. Opposed to them leaving and not coming back in? Sounds like no difference to me.
  2. Thanks for showing that you guys actually care and shedding light on the work you guys have done to step it up. Do you think the volume issue at the Alerus is a lack of willingness to crank it or just old speakers that can't handle it? Also as far as the intro goes I'm not sure the team really gets amped by the current one, although it is an improvement over older versions. I don't think we should be scared of a little rap for the players to get juiced up with in the intro. Also some smoke outside the helmet with green strobe lights as they walk into the helmet would look awesome. Just show that on the screen with some good music instead of the back in black intro. The intro was improved this year but has a ways to go. As far as student/ fan participation goes why not have a 'contest' where on each side a third of the sections have a U and then the next sections have an N and then the other group of sections have a D and then have a booming U-------N---------D U-----N-----D U--N--D chant that people could get into. How bout a signature song or two like Wisconsin does with their Jump Around after the 3rd quarter? Dry run at hockey games and carry over to other sports? Also, do you guys have any influence with the Alerus and their policy to not allow tailgaters to leave at half and come back in? I feel like the students and other fans would love that. Get some good food and something to drink at half and go back in to watch the rest of the game. I and others loved the UND version of Hard Knocks that you guys did, we wants more..... I realize the limitations of staff but something simple like getting to know position groups and the traditions of each would be a great way to get to know the guys on the team. What about an all sports pep rally the first week of school at the Betty of the Englestad and show highlights of the previous season and hype the coming seasons for the freshman and other students? I think just overall making sports like football and basketball seem more 'big time' than the perception is at the time would make it seem worth the students time to check out and get involved in.
  3. The montana game had to have been good for a chest bump......
  4. No playoffs, is it even worth it for him to play?
  5. It's not even close. I went to both schools. The ratio of male/female is in UND's favor by alot. And they're better looking besides that fact.
  6. Should have doesn't get anyone any closer to making the playoffs. If it did we'd only have one loss and would be playoff eligible. It matters because people 'need' to measure dicks
  7. They actually have a really really good run defense. You can't run on them so you have to pass, just like those Vikings teams. You try to run and get stuffed so you can only pass which skews their pass defense stats. They have a soon to be pro TE who can't be covered by anyone on your team since he's 6'6" and can run. The QB is also big and very mobile so pressure can backfire. It'd be a good game and you guys could win.
  8. Game day production needs to be on par with what they do for the hockey team. Intro blasting through the speakers. Tailgating needs to be adjusted. O yea and winning alot.
  9. Anyone who thinks there is a controversy still needs to go out back and fashion themselves a switch and come back inside for their whoopin
  10. Big game, need I say more?
  11. He is the worlds strongest man
  12. the HD looked really nice, so did the announcers maroon tie. couple of Montana homers.
  13. Underthrown balls are hard on DBs to defend. Overthrown balls are impossible to catch. I'll take underthrown with 70%+ completions. His only huge knock is arm strength....
  14. Dan Hendrickson was an all time great but never got his deserved credit.
  15. The season predictions were based off of a healthy Hanson and Kleason and assuming that the defense wouldn't forget how to tackle over the summer. This team is above average at worst. We've lost to only ranked or FBS teams. The FCS teams that we have lost to have a combined 1 FCS loss. We just need a couple pieces on defense to fix that and maybe a dynamic bigger RB which could be found via the JUCO route. This team is very close to being elite, they just need a guy here and a guy there and things will fall into place.
  16. He's been getting looked at all year.
  17. I'd welcome a good drop down but want no part in another juco qb, no thanks.
  18. Plugging holes worked really well for ndsu at db and lb.
  19. I don't see qb as a huge area of need. Mollberg will be really really good. I've seen him make some throws that 18 year olds shouldn't be able to make when I saw him in fall camp. A nice rb would be awesome.
  20. Mollberg is the real deal. We lose Sutton, big deal. We lose Lynch who is a really good hog. We lose a great qb and a very good one. We'll plug in new guys and be fine.
  21. We're an average defense away from being undefeated or a one loss team. This team is loaded on offense and has alot of young up and coming guys. The team has also had to fight through 3 huge injuries (Kleason, Hanson, McGill) and have done so admirably minus the EWU game. We only graduate a few key guys on offense and replace them with the top QB recruit in the history of the program and some massive young hogs. On defense we replace our dline with guys with plenty of experience and two stud fr in Edwards and Carrothers. The defense won't get worse than this year and we get rid of Mersereau's worthless ass so things are looking up. I think the team will be better next year and learn from the mistakes of earlier this season. I think you need to take off the brown tinted glasses.
  22. With Bubba's 3-4? Yes they would, obviously.
  23. Last season was not mediocre. Just a bit boring at times. This year has more fireworks than any season since 2007. My question is other than a perfect record and the #1 ranked defense offense and team in the nation, what more do fans want? There were so many times against Montana where an awesome huge play was made and most of the fans sat on their lazy asses and barely cheered. That crap pisses me off like non other. After the offense we had to watch last year you'd think fans would be ready to cheer but apparently only a few are.
  24. People in Grand Forks would not care about Missouri St, Indiana St, Illinois St, Western Illinois, and Youngstown St. The only reason they might care about SIU would be because of Lennon. Obviously they'd care about the old NCC foes and NIU is the equivalent of Montana and Montana St.
  25. Scouts have been all over Hanson this year, I wouldn't be surprised if he was at least one of the 'hired arms' for the NFL combine.
