Knight is just a really efficient player. He's not flashy at all and doesn't stand out as much as others but all he does is make great plays and play solid d and win faceoffs. He's like that player that everyone played against that was highly touted but people always said 'he's not that good' or 'he can't even skate' (as was said about a young Gretzky) and it turns out that player goes on to be great at the next level and just isn't anything other than efficient. Knight is just very under rated.

I think that recruits won't have to wait til junior year to contribute. Although stockpiling talent means that lose players will need to start out on special teams to see the field early and work like crazy to have a shot to be apart of our awesome offense. Defensive recruits probably see how bad the DBs are and think they could fill that hole and make us a great team instead of just an offense. If we could get great recruits during 2010 we should do really well this year. If I'm a young safety I'm thinking to myself that I could come in and be the man in the secondary for 4 years, thats an attractive option.

That game had to have done alot for us in the eyes of recruits.

Tickets are dirt cheap right now, in fact raising ticket prices would probably be a better idea because you shouldn't devalue a product you feel is quality. Almost all of the game are on TV. The marketing department has really stepped it up this year.' The improvement needs to be game day atmosphere to get young fans that will actually cheer instead of sitting on their ass arms folded like so many do at the Alerus, it's pathetic that Montanas fans made way more noise the majority of the game. Fans need to realize that you cheer the whole time when your defense is on the field and that it's not like hockey where you only cheer when something happens. Improving the tailgate and the team intro will help. #1 way to get fans into the game is to win alot and have a bad ass defense.

Our run game is just fine. That is unless a team feels like putting 8 in the box and getting torched.

Because they're a very very talented team. Their front seven had some horses and some good looking LBs. Just because our record isn't the greatest either doesn't mean we are an average team. We crushed Sac St and they have a better record than us. Without all of the turmoil and coaching changes they would have a better record and better mental resilience.

Let them leave at half to tailgate and come back in

In a way it's kind of signature for recruiting and reputation because of the weight that Montana brand has to it. It's nice to be able to go into a recruits home and say that we beat Montana. On the other hand a true 'signature win' would be something that turns a program around like beating a #1 ranked team or a first playoff win or beating a good FBS team. This win is awesome and all but not quite what we want for our signature....

Well other than being fat and sloppy he was smooth and relaxed and blasted bombs every time but once. I'm not sure how he didn't hit the roof. Though ours isn't as impressive, his average was within a yard of the Fridge's average.

He learned his lesson last week that you need TDs. Can't blame him for having balls, although consistency would be nice.

The defense played very well down the stretch. First time all year I've been proud of the D for more than 5 min. They kept UND in the game long enough for the offense to start clicking again. 500+ yards again sucks though..... hopefully they build on how they finished.
