  1. Once again if the ratings were their they'd be all over it.
  2. Papalinos beef tostada pizza is fantastic.
  3. Because the ratings aren't good. If they were those money grubbing whores at ESPN would be all over hockey.
  4. I'm not talking about NDSU. I'm talking FCS football and D1 hockey.
  5. Stroll right on in at the north west gate where the team used to run out. Hopefully they go live when you're there.
  6. I was using all three games because it makes the comparison more favorable to hockey. Compare just the championship games then. Also why are the only hockey games on ESPN/ESPN2 Frozen Four games? There are FCS quarterfinals on ESPN2. That alone shows that ESPN feels showing those football games is more advantageous than showing those hockey games. FCS football has a much larger following than D1 hockey.
  7. Apples and oranges. I know the point you are trying to make but it just isn't valid. Think about it this way. How many teams are there for FCS football and D1 hockey and how many players are on each team? This means that the talent is more spread out in football. I'm not against UND hockey by any means, I just don't like some of the BS arguments some hockey only fans try.
  8. Although I'm not a fan of NDSU that is not a valid comparison. A football team has 95 players on it. That would mean for every one pro UND churns out NDSU would have to churn out 3.
  9. The three games of the Frozen Four drew a total of 35,612 in Pittsburg, a place that loves hockey. The FCS title game drew 21,411. The semifinal in Fargo drew 18,484 and the semi in Cheney drew 7,615. So the to the Frozen Four equivalent for FCS drew a total of 47,510. The capacity for the Consol Energy Center in Pitt is 18,387 and the average capacity for the three sites of the FCS 'Frozen Four' is 15,700. So what I'm getting at is the FCS 'Frozen Four' had a smaller average venue and out drew the Frozen Four by over 12,000. Also, one of those fan bases, NDSU, had to travel over 20 hours to the championship site. These numbers don't lie.
  10. How many people were there in person watching Yale win it all?
  11. He is a guy that can absolutely obliterate people. RB TE WR it doesn't matter he lowers the boom in a big way. Hits like Ankenbauer but runs like Hawkins only his hips aren't as stiff.
  12. If I'm Jameer Jackson I would be absolutely pissed at the lack of recognition and respect thrown my way preseason. He was only a fr and tore it up. He looks way faster now and is still 235+. He's gonna kill some DBs this season.
  13. That was because of the Root Sports contract.
  14. Pop the champagne this is great news. August 8th was the debut last year.
  15. Still bitter about him and Hextall......
  16. I really hope we get another installment of this....
  17. http://youtu.be/Odzc2Ig573g Pretty similar if you ask me. I understand the difference of the two sports but they can each be decided by one play/bounce.
  18. Vikings fans are used to one play deciding their season http://youtu.be/R-3DDFGvnII
  19. I was born long before this one.
  20. A bounce? Sometimes. http://youtu.be/7xMDIcsUMmA
  21. Football
  22. Some of the quotes from defensive players and coaches are rather alarming to me. It suggests that under Mannausau (great player and great guy all around) was not up to par as a defensive coordinator and didn't demand the level of excellence that is needed to be successful especially against such potent offenses as the teams in the Big Sky. It also speaks to the quality of Kotelnicki. This guy is a stud. He is intesnse. He does not sleep on his laurels. He's not afraid to call people out and push them towards greatness. He is the real deal and I hope we can keep him around for a while because I think he is going to be a special coach.
