I kind of want to do a look alike thread for this game..... but last time we had one EWU killed us..... anyone willing to contribute?
-
I really feel like we're going into this game blind. There are so many unknowns right now that could go either way. It's alot of suspense and not having a feel for this team makes me nervous. Time for the team to show everyone how hard they worked in the offseason and how pissed off they are at the lack of respect they get.

I'm very excited to see Labatt as well. I thought he may have been the most underrated player in his class. Great athlete and perfect frame for a good LB. Rare athletic ability to be able to cover the pass will make him an asset.

SanDSU was alot better last year.
-
So who's excited for the game tomorrow?
-
I'm about ready to snap reading all of this pessimism. There's a very big very exciting game tomorrow and you guys are talking about what it will take to fire our coach or keep him this season? You're kidding me right? We're 1-0 and haven't even opened either play book yet. Was the first game perfect? No. Should we have shut them out? Yea. Could we have scored 100 pts? Sure. We won the damn game and tomorrow is the type of game we've been wanting at the Alerus for years. That's something to be excited about. Knock this bullshlt off about how the program is floundering and get excited for the damn game tomorrow. Let the team decide how good they are, don't tag their toes before they even have a chance to prove themselves. We have the #6 team in our house and they're a historical rival of ours. It's a huge opportunity for the team. What more could we ask for other than playing NDSU? Let's enjoy this game.

We play NDSU on Saturday? I thought we played SDSU?
-
Like going for it on 4th and one in NC? He's gotten more balls as the years have gone on. And yes I know the difference between having balls and being a moron is if you do convert on the play. Tom Osbourn had balls, it cost Nebraska a national title.
-
I'd say SDSUs best passing weapon is their TE. He's big and very athletic. He's the kind of TE we need.
-
No prediction from me. I don't know what this team is made of yet. SDSU is very beatable though. The game will be won by us on the special teams with kicking and good returns if we do win. Who knows, maybe the team comes alive and rolls on Saturday. The talent is there, time to execute.

Just remember Bohl couldn't coach his way out of a wet paper bag going into 2010 and now look at him. They about to erect a statue of a giant golden cue ball in his honor.

How does Belichik interview? Loads of charisma right? There's more than one way to get the job done.
-
That's what I was thinking. QBs transition well to other positions. And who knows what position we're looking at him for. Also I'd like to see video of Vernon Adams in high school. I bet he was pretty raw himself.
-
That poor kid has a terrible offensive line. He's running for his life half the time. I'd rather go for Wilke before him.
-
Ill make no predictions on this season or have a feel for things in general until I see how this next game goes. That said, playoffs or bust.
-
It's blowing my mind that this isn't in purple.
-
Lower ceiling and metal walls make a huge difference. The noise gets bounced down onto the field.
-
You actually don't?
-
They're a run first and second team. Make no mistake about it. They just wanted to polish up the passing game to keep teams off balance.
-
I've been looking for highlights where did you find them?
-
Anyone know why this is still a thread?
-
Can't understate how big of an advantage that is. Hopefully he's improved his motion and lands in our laps.

Last time we played SDSU and got our asses kicked on a miserable day a player told me they had the meanest most physical offensive line they've ever played against. I expect them to open holes from time to time no matter how good the d plays. It's just up to the LBs and safeties to make the plays when that happens.
-
Never said it mattered. Just answered a question about size. 3-4 defenses have bigger players. Size doesn't matter nearly as much as being good at football, agility, flexibility, speed, body composition, toughness, and awareness. It does help though.

Our DBs are small for the most part. LBs are good sized/big. DL has some big boys. OL is big but pretty lean. RBs are small. QBs are big. WRs are small and big. Our kickers are big too, Zeb is built like an LB. it might be the unis and a few really small guys here and there. As a team we're actually bigger than NDSU.
