His pops played FBS. We may not be able to get him by the time he's done. How about his older son? He won't put up good numbers since his team is awful but he's a good athlete.

I have a hard time believing that Montana has a more nasty offensive line than SDSU. They may be bigger but those SDSU lines play with a mean streak that I didn't see from Montanas last year. Montana has the same OL, we'll see if they're much improved.
-
If they can smash out offense into the fetal position more power to them. I just want to hear some popping. At least a few bone crushing hits. Maybe a good one on kickoff coverage.
-
Sounds weird but I'm looking forward to watching Montanas punter. He's the real deal. A big boy with a Howitzer of a leg.

Anyone think it's a little premature to have a banner for Knight?
-
Mussman wants Montana to prepare for both. Of course he'll say both will take reps. They will both technically get reps with the ones as I stated earlier but they will not be anywhere close to equal. It's all smoke and mirrors from Mussman.

The only thing I enjoy more than seeing the offense put up points is watching a defense smash an opponent into the fetal position. I've been waiting a while to see that again. Hopefully soon.

This schedule has playoffs written all over it.

For how much you've been complaining about everything lately I think you need to step back and get ahold of the facts before you claim Mussman isn't doing his job. It's like me saying you don't do your job without knowing even what you do. It's not fair to the program you support so before you go complaining again get ahold of some facts and make an intelligent argument instead of going off on an emotional rampage based on nothing. Also on the whole 'Mussman was rotating QBs last year' thing; if Hanson hadn't been injured last year would Hendrickson have gotten in any game other than the first? The only game they rotated legitimately was EWU. At MSU Hanson was a sitting duck and couldn't defend himself so they had to put in Marcus.
-
This is based on speculation. We don't know who is taking what reps. FYI every week regardless of if there if THE guy or not the #2 qb takes some reps with the first team. That's why you saw a guy like Hendrickson last year come in and not miss a beat.

It would be pretty hilarious given the magnitude of scores predicted if this game was a defensive battle and ended up something like 8 - 10

He will. He's not a moron.

Mid week kool aid pick. Defense shows up big time offense explodes. Mollberg passes for 350 and runs for 45 and 3 tds. We get a return td and block two kicks. Shaugabay gets carries and goes for 85 yards. Und 45 Montana 27

I've yet to see a pat down and I sit on the away side. They check purses and thats about it.

There isn't the drop off that there was the last few years. They rotated alot in the second half when they woke up. On saturday they looked pretty above average down the stretch. They need to sustain that level of play for a season to regain the reputation they once had.

Big Snacks has to start at NG. Henson can move to DE. Rotate in Welch and Cheatom on one side and in jumbo packages. If Cummings keeps playing like crap replace him with Carrothers and Woodsmall. Cheatom gets in there a decent amount, he'll get more snaps as the season goes on. Goard and Labatt will play alot more with Goodman going down. Peters needs to step up big time, he sucked last week. Bennett needs to just play like he did last week, he was awesome. Finley anyone? Did he have a tackle last week? Same as Peters, make a play or step aside. I liked the secondary but I'd like more Kuksa.

It's called a hip flask and a coke. Problem solved rookies.

The only thing that makes me want Hakstol to stay for a while longer even though he hasn't won the big one is the talent he has coming in the next few years. If he can't get it done with this next crop it's probably time for a new voice. An example of a well coached up play from last game was the quick snap qb sneak for the first down. For the most part, though, it's hard to point out good coaching moments because like a good oline it's not readily apparent. If an oline is doing terrible then you notice it, just like horrible coaching mistakes. An example of one would be only playing Miller at RB.

The only adjustment they made was Bartels missing on throws WR dropping passes and Bartels fumbling.
-
There was a nice student section at the SDSU game. They even stayed after halftime which they didn't the past few years. Most of them bailed after Zenner had his long TD.
-
And why was that?
-
They didn't rotate at LB last year.

I can hear the Montana DC in the meeting room now.... '84 is scrawny, we're gonna press all day and he won't get off the line of scrimmage.' Please please Montana press our WRs. Especially Hardin and Jackson.
