Calipari was also very vocal about how over rated he thought his team was. He said they weren't anywhere near as mature or tough as his previous class that won it all as fr.

Hearing two coaches have kept their jobs. Faison has a plan.

What frustrating is watching out pp which is just moronic and then watching the gophers and dogs play each other. They always have sharp passing and creative playmaking on their pp units and can 1 get the puck into the zone and 2 keep it there. Would it be so hard to take a page out of their books?

Ugly ass hockey. It looked like a low level beer league game. It seems we'll see what Hak is made out of this season.
-
Other coaches must have a good laugh when they see film of our pp.

What was their other option? Ask some NDSU players to provide a longer list?
-
Yup. Zero. Don't even ask about the causation...... I love rash generalizations.
-
Brooks is an intriguing candidate because the possible upside is tremendous. There is also that bust factor that scares people. We'll see if Faison is a risk taker i guess.

How good was Bill Parcells at football? Bear Bryant? Nick Saban never even played in the NFL and played at Kent St, not exactly a starter in multiple Rose Bowls. Remember Jim Tressel as a player? Yea, me neither. If you can coach you can coach, if you can play you can play.

Kristo grew out of a lot of bad habits. He ended up pretty fine.

The list obviously is meaningless at this point. Some of these applicants seem like they lost a bet and had to apply.

Sounds kinda like Bragleman but could be somebody else.

If any players want to leave the program the door should be wide open. I'll take a less talented player who is 100% bought in than a more talented player who is selfish. Let them go, it's their loss.

Will Lewis and Goard worked out pretty well as did an OL a few years back

Usually you try and recruit most positions so it's not like we're building a team from scratch here

I still can't help but think how much better the Betty would be with retractable bleachers going up to the roof on both ends. Once again a lack of vision....
-
I always like NDSUs rbs too. They get the job done every game.
-
Idk. We were expecting Comes and Demler to hang around and we all know how that worked out. NDSU learned their lesson with QBs. We need to as well.
-
I really think we need to find 3 juco DBs. 2 CBs for obvious reasons and 1 safety due to the Kuksa injury. We should also look to get a juco DT and DE. Not the juco types we've had recently that come in and make zero impact we need guys that can play now. We need to find more athletes in the secondary this year. They didn't find enough last year and I don't trust many of our secondary players. I wonder what Opara is doing these days? Roller as well? We need more hogs, bigger and meaner, we need some maulers up front. LB has some good players but we need to get some edge rushers that can terrorize opponents. A big RB is a must. Two QBs for sure. A playmaker at TE? Maybe we have one already and don't know it?
-
So.... Top recruiting needs this year?

One thing we can guarantee is that if NDSU only beat them like Montana did everyone on your end would say that NDSU was playing flat and didn't really care. Should the same be assumed about Montana? I don't think so since USD made plays in that game but it's a typical way for people to downgrade the impressiveness of a game (SDSU...)
-
USD is pretty good. They showed that against some solid teams. They couldn't get over the mental hurdle against NDSU and it snowballed on them. The question is how much better are they than what they showed against NDSU and were the games against UNI and YSU flukes?
-
For the first time in a long time I'm legitimately excited for a UND basketball team. I've been hopeful the last couple years but this year the team looks like a legit D1 team for the first time. I can't wait to see how they do out west and against Butler and SDSU.

So NDSU thought they were pretty damn good coming into this game. It's the typical NDSU schtick. What happened? This...
