Advantage us? You bet your ass.

Going to football games and staying the whole time just needs to be cool again. There are a bunch of ways to get there. It's not as if the hockey team has been phenomenal the past few years like they used to be but the student section is still packed and lively because it's cool.

Win more. Have an offense. Kick ass defense.

Did I not just say top five is the only thing that turns heads?

No offense but we played USD the last game of the year.

Will Rattelle is off to a great start to this year, as is Taj Rich. Since we haven't had any good LB play since Hendrickson was a senior I figured I'd highlight the benchmarks of what really good LBs have done in the past. In 11 games his senior year, Hendrickson posted 75 tackles with an impressive 60 solos and 7.5 tfl. The UND record is 66 solos stops by Digger in 2003. With 185 total tackles in 1990 Dean Witkowski has a record that will never be touched, he also posted a 55 solo tackle season in 1989. Rattelle and Rich have 19 and 11 solos respectively and 47 and 41 total. Both are on pace to crack the top ten in solos. To crack the top ten in total tackles would require over 105... I won't hold my breath on that since most guys on that list played in the 80s.

Top five wins are really the only ones that turn heads.

24. Also SUU was 17th when we pounded them in Utah.

USD was ranked in the Goska to Anderson game.

Fixed your post.

Speaking of amateur, that guy that 'writes' for your site. He had Garmin and Carr listed as players to watch amongst other errors. At least that article was free....

Spread it out teams don't really milk the play clock

Call me crazy but maybe Rudolph knows more about football than all of us. Maybe he's got a whole lot up his sleeves like Vigen did every year with NDSU. Why show his entire playbook in the first four games of the year? He didn't need to. Perhaps he wants to wait until 1. The players are able to execute the whole offense and 2. He needs to unveil his entire offense. Maybe he wants to throw some major wrinkles late in the season to help us get some unexpected wins? Why would he do that against Stony Brook? My bet is he's just waiting to pounce. Will it be this year even? Maybe not, but I bet he'll use more of the playbook as the year goes on and the games get more important. In the mean time there's no point in putting everything he's got on film for the top BigSky teams to prepare against. Maybe I'm wrong.

But in terms of physical recovery for the defense 3 and a half min of rest and coaching is much more useful than 45 seconds of rest and coaching between series.

Bubba will get this thing turned around faster thanks to great recruiting and the IPF taking everything to the next level. The boosters actually support him and his team believes in him, those things go a long way.
-
That's just it you put Freund Manke Bellmore or any of those guys under center here and our offense would put out 20 points a game consistently. Heck even Hanson and Hendrickson would put up number with Rudolphs offense. Those guys all had one thing in common, 10-20 yard darts that rarely missed, oh and touch on the ball.

Special teams with some points and d with two tds. Just sayin.

I'll take Olivera over Daniel based on the film.
-
247 has him listed as the number 20 player in MN.
-
Call me crazy but that doesn't look like a three star recruit to me.
-
Yup. Yup. Yup. And yup. The Trojan troll?
-
We've already won more games than they did in glens first year even with Bubba going all out with his guys the same way Glen did.
-
No. They should throw to Adler and Mathewson.

On our second offensive play of the game there was an obvious blitz coming from the right side of the line and no adjustment was made. The blitzer made a tackle in the backfield to set up a third and long for us.... We need to notice the blitzes and adjust blocking better.
