I don’t recall our WRs running open all game consistently

Why’s that? Is it because our WRs are able to get open against good DBs? Surely this hasn’t been the case for 90% of our WRs under bubba.

Body language told the tale of the game. They kicked our asses. They were aggressive from the opening whistle. They were the hammer, we were the nail.

Does this mean @GoodGood and @McBuckets are gonna upvote that post too?

Saw that. Woulda been a good opportunity for someone to stand up for their teammate but that never happened.

I’m usually not for it but I don’t see Romfo protecting the ball even. With Tommy he at least did that well.

I don’t have the personal sample to comment. I had heard he was the most consistent one though in fall camp which is why he won the job.

Which is why I’ve been suggesting giving Jerry at least consistent looks through a package. Can’t justify Romfo based on performance right now because he also throws too many ints. If he can’t protect the ball and has a clearly limited throwing ability I don’t see what we have to lose in cutting Jerry loose.

And yet he won the job for a reason. It’s not his fault the other guys failed.

I disagree with the last sentence. Every coach on every time tries to. The question I’m asking is why don’t they succeed at improving it? It’s tough to find them I guess but we have given scholarships to guys that could hardly throw a forward pass. I have heard they really like Sulik fwiw. Also, Kaminski has to get more consistent. If he does that the job is his. I had heard he was wayyy too erratic when competing for the job.

Kaminski looked to have some nice wheels and escapability when he was in there. Also helps that he’s way bigger than Simon. Give him 15 plays a game and see what happens.

A winning road record is still on the table and should be realistic in my opinion.

Ceiling was the important word. The new OC probably put alot of weight into this years results and who was safer out the gate. Might be time to explore potential. At least a Payton package for Kaminski in my mind.

They can have an effect but I’ve already said it takes 3 years min to see the true effects of the new guy and really more like 8 so you have a full roster of guys that had only him as a strength coach in college.

Just to keep things balanced are we going to blame getting physically destroyed on the strength coach? Not against the new guy in any way fwiw.

Once again a bubba led team is not ready to go for a road game. It’s truly remarkable.

So far hasn’t done so well against us in his career. Rucker and Navratil need to have a day though cause it seems like he'll repping Sealy soon at this rate.

My main concern is their d is setup to gobble up deep passes. We’ve needed those the last couple of games. Silver lining is we like to run the ball and we’ve shown an ability to stretch the field. The reality is that this game will be on our defense. They did not play well the last two games or the first half against the griz. We will get rolled if that repeats itself.

However when it’s first and goal at the 4 just run the damn ball
