Well, its a test for right now, try out a small area, let real world conditions and real idiots do their worst with the system, figure out if their is any small bugs in the system that they can fix, and once its proven pretty much foolproof, everywere where there isn't any coverage at all is going to be clamering for the things. How handy would it be for boaters out on the Great Lakes to be able to get cell coverage when they're way out from shore? Plus, any other area that has a strong, NIMBY attitude when it comes to the cell towers.

Thats right where I'm shooting for with GVSU to go into the CHA. I think we could be a real rock for that conferance to lean on, and hell, perhaps even earn them some respect. We have a great Athletic department, a growing student body and alumni base, located in Metro area of 1 Million plus, and already have ties to several other hockey schools thru the GLIAC, not to mention our budding football rivalry, And we would have about 6 other schools that would be under a 6 hour bus ride to get to: Western Michigan, Michigan State, Notre Dame, Michigan, Bowling Green and Wisconsin. I'm sure some of those schools would be more than happy to pay us to show up the first couple of years when we're building up the program.

Boy, and if the NCAA though swearing and other boorish behavior are problems in college hockey now.....

I still don't see why all of the current Big Ten Schools would opt to leave their current Hockey conference for the Big Ten HC. Especially Penn St. who would just be building their program and would be better off going CHA for a few years to get some recuiting ties going, some tradition. If they jump in right now with the BTCH, they're pretty much going to be the league's beyotch, only good for about 4 points on the weekend, and maybe a little help with the PWS if they happen to beat a decent team or two from whatever's left of College hockey after the fallout of the BTHC. I'm going to guess that Minneasota and Wisconsin probably have the largest budgets in the WCHA, but do you really think that they would want to go head to head with Michigan and OSU every year?? Their alums would just throw a whole lot more money at them just to be the best team in the BTHC. Hell, I've been in the Yost before, albeit only for a charity game local area health practiceinters that could bearly skate. They must really sale the game atmostsphere, because I thought it was rather dumpy. Michigan probably wouldn't think twice of building something that blows the Ralph right out of the water, other than trying to figure out where the heck they can put it in Ann Arbor. Do you really think Minneasota would want to compeat with that?

So, you can continue to keep stuffing the ballet box?? Well then, is the Crybabies at Jan Brady State are stuffing it in favor of the name change, how about you guys counterstuff those people then?? Vote once for keeping the name, then vote for I don't care. You get enough people to do this, it will screw the numbers up.

Darn, I knew there was another school out there that was on a few lists, probably more too.

I just thought I would conduct a little unscientific poll here to see whom UND fans would love to see to step up to D1 Hockey. From what I've heard, that Georgia school that was going to move up to be the CHA's sixth team, so they're probably shopping for a new team, and are not going to be picky at all. However, I just want to hear from you guys on which schools you guys think that could make Hockey work for them? Just some of my thoughts 1. NDSU, because you know thats an instant rivalry. 2. the SoDaks, local teams for you. 3. GVSU. Please click on this link for mine and other Laker fans thoughts, ideas and musings about the idea of GVSU Hockey. 4. Oregon, Not really on anybodys radar, but bare with me. West Coast Location, little compition for any local recuits near them, could tap into BC for talent there, and most importantly, flag ship of Nike, the CEO's alma mater. He could bankroll that program himself if Hockey was started there. 5. Big school in a big hockey area, many wonder why they don't already have one. 6. Big school, on a lot of short lists already to add hockey. Thats all for now, I'm pretty sure you guys can figure this one out for yourselves.

Yeah, I would keep pointing it out how some places can do it for free and be very reliable, while you guys are paying for it, and not getting the desired service. Sooner or Later, UND will figure that out.

True that. I think any special teams coach worth his salt would be chomping at the bit to get Digger as their gunner on special teams. Not that I don't think he couldn't also be a LB or Safety as well, I just see that as his best shot at making a team, and I'm sure he can earn his way onto the field when there isn't some skinny guy with a funny name on it as well.

Have they offically came out with a press release and stated they would like UND to keep the Sioux name and that the NCAA should go BLANKITY-BLANK-BLANKING-BLINKED BLANK itself?? I would think an announcement like that would be pretty big news around here.

On the ESPN site. "Grayshirted" Is that an actual term used anywhere, because I've never heard of it. That or its one Hell of a Typo.

And just think of all the Bandwagon Fans you guys could pick up for the weekend, perhaps lifetime if you guys where to play a weekend or two in like Chicago or New York, where a lot of the old guard Mob guys hang out at. Would make for some very interesting drinking stories for yall to share after an NCAA tournament.
