With that first half, and the fact that they didn't just kneel to end the half, I'm really looking forward to the 3rd. There has been a lot of talk about coming out of the half strong. Hopeful it pays off.
Anybody create an account and see what a monthly subscription costs? I did one for some league awhile back that was only $10. I'd probably spend that much to watch if the quality was decent. It would be nice if the site had pricing listed.
There has been an adjustment by mixing in slants and wheels to throw off the blitz. That's definitely opening up the run game. It's looking pretty decent.
On the plus side, the offense is moving the ball early in the game. Still like to see them take a shot, but SHSU is blitzing frequently. Mixing up the runs and starting to find holes.
8 turnovers so far that game (NAU 4 ints and a fumble recovery, only 6 points to show.) At the half, NAU with an extremely boneheaded ST play. Gives the ball back to MSU at the 10. They score.23-6
Something not mentioned enough was that UND took 0 penalties! Last year was a penalty fest in a lot of games. Plus the tackling was really good against a skilled team like that. There were many one-on-one situations where guys made the tackle to save a huge gain.
It looked like a screen that was busted immediately. Kett seems like he's trying to protect the ball. I'm sure they emphasized no turnovers this half. Bubba mentioned it before the half started. Still, can't move the ball if you don't try.
Based on what we've seen over the years, I'd agree. He ran hard last week, but the fumbles hurt. Still, if he's not being punished, get him out there this half.
Confidence is huge for the rest of the year. If UND doesn't win, they need to take some confidence into Sammy. So far, I think they're building that. Start the 2nd half with the ball and continue building on O. Go for it!
