  1. Not comparing him to anyone. Just saying his opinion shouldn't necessarily be taken as fact.
  2. Your knowledge of my knowledge of Schlossman's knowledge is infinitely limited.
  3. I was referring specifically to his statement that didn't leave "remaining a full member of the Big Sky" as an option. SV's FBS ideas are just SV's FBS ideas.
  4. Not saying he's wrong, but Schlossman's knowledge outside of hockey is pretty limited.
  5. I was under the impression they were keeping that as a rainy day fund in case UND doesn't make the NCHC tournament one year. An extra $1 million seems like a lot to hold onto on top of what is already in reserve. If they were to use the money to upgrade video streaming or something then it'd make sense.
  6. $500,000 NCHC admission fee. So assuming the NCHC takes 2 teams at some point, that's $1 million for the league (with approx. $40,000 used for vetting expenses of new teams). Anyone know if that would be distributed to the current members or would the league retain it for future investment/expenses?

It's a good thing we didn't lose any key offensive linemen. I can quit worrying now.

  9. Based on the varying opinions on this board, I'm not sure if this is sarcasm or not....
  10. Hasn't it already been stated that the BSC exit fee will be minimal as long as UND gives adequate notice? Shouldn't be too hard to get the Summit to waive most if not all of their entrance fee either, as that league will take whatever it can get.
  11. Is UTRGV even a school we'd want to associate with? It's 1 year old and its "campus" is spread across 6 cities.
  12. New deal also allows for 5 hockey games on fcs, not sure about football. So I'd assume we forwent some revenue in exchange for the shared coverage and increase in coverage of sports other than men's hockey.
  13. Faison isn't very good at public speaking or interacting with other people in general. I wouldn't read too much into any off the cuff radio comments.
  14. If papalinos is the standard for "made-in-house" crust, I'll take the frozen stuff from Rhombus.
  15. It wouldn't be the worst idea for many of the schools you listed.
  16. Unrelated: What the heck is going on in New York? 20 million people and just 5-10 top-rated recruits.
  17. I don't believe the WAC move would be successful, but IF it occurred and UND was successful at FBS it'd be because they moved before South Dakota State and North Dakota State, and thus gained a recruiting advantage similar to what vaulted the xDSUs ahead of the UxDs. As for the bolded portion, without looking it up I'm going to guess that all of them other than maybe Sac St were more successful at the DII level than SDSU. It'd be difficult to be worse.
  18. Although I agree with you in general on the whole BSC/WAC idea, how successful was South Dakota State at the DII level? Once you look it up (or ask me, it doesn't take long to write down their DII playoff record), why did that not stop them from transitioning to and having success in the FCS?
  19. Not as much $$ as I was hoping, but they are going to increase coverage.
