Ok? The pic is from the press conference when the logo was first revealed. It was a quick, poorly done mockup of a jersey. The striping, blank shoulders, and colors of the jersey are all bad. Hence, it looks like a cheap practice jersey. It was obviously never intended to be our actual jersey.

What am I reading this for?

Logo aside, I still really dislike our current jerseys. Awful for fans unless you shell out to get them customized with a number filling the hole in the front.

Sure. It could expose dirty money and corruption. Many past and present legislators and elected officials are/were self serving and deserve exposure. Just wish the writers of the measure didn't make such a mess of it. It will be interesting to see where this commission draws the line on things. All of Burgum's efforts to build downtowns up will benefit him and his friends/family personally with his Fargo properties. However, he was elected with everyone knowing what he was going to push for. Is that bad ethics or a sincerely held belief that he just happens to benefit from?

An unelected commission can now make up its own rules with no oversight, while becoming a political hammer to be used on whomever the commission so chooses. The legislature will have to fund it at the level the commission believes it needs. It supersedes all other parts of the state constitution. It's in the constitution, so the legislature can't fix it with a simple law change. It stifles free speech, adding reporting requirements and making internet doxing easy for the crazies.

I remember hearing Flakoll and Grindberg were being double paid by ndsu and the legislature. Although they were really working hard to funnel as much money to ndsu as possible while in session, so perhaps it was an unwritten portion of their job duties.

He is. He tried for the AD spot when Chaves was hired. I believe he's now in a quasi Asst AD and foundation position.

He was being sarcastic. Mannausau lost the AD race. As for your general point, I agree. The foundation should hire people who truly care about and have a connection to UND.

You mean Kennedy, a Republican, didn't discriminate against O'Brien for being a Republican? That's pretty crazy. Also, I believe it's illegal, or at least highly frowned upon, for a legislator who's also a state employee to double dip on pay during session. Good for UND not paying her while she's not performing her job duties.

I'm not saying those 2 have been successful in landing the best local players, but we'd be complaining about a lack of local coaches if we didn't have any. Complaining is what we do. With that said, I really like Wanzek and Maag. And Toivonen is solid as well. Should they all be on the field at the same time? Not in most situations.

Rudy and Kostich should both be fired. Their play calling, player development, and talent evaluation skills are all lacking. However, if we didn't have any coaches from ND/MN, we'd likely be complaining about how a lack of local coaches is hurting our local recruiting.

Right. I'm just saying a UND connection has not been a requirement for who Bubba has hired as assistants.

FWIW, only 3/10 assistant coaches went to UND.

I was thinking the same thing. Coaches did call for the jugular, but the players did not execute. With that said, the FB wheel route was a low probability (dumb) play call.

But Hakstol was hired because O'Keefe was his father-in-law....

He already has a master's degree so unpaid grad assistant won't work. No other role he's qualified for.
