Everyone is paying twice as much for athletics now in an effort to get away from associating with schools like Augustana. If Auggie joins the Summit, any talk of the university presidents seeking to associate with like-minded institutions with solid research and academic profiles should end.

Why would the Montanas and Idaho want to join a conference with Auggie?

I hope the Herald reports who is hired when they are hired. The more publicity the applicants get the harder it is to get future applicants.

Not positive, but they may be able to name an outsider as "interim" HC during the hiring process and then conveniently hire that person as HC.
