At least know why you gave up at least a 50-50 chance of winning the game. A huge part of being a head coach is the ability to make in-game decisions and adapt to the situation in front of you. Don't blame that one on the defensive coordinator. That was not Mannasau's decision.

Something just came to mind... With about 2:18 left in the 4th quarter, Jackson caught a pass on the left sideline and ran out of bounds. The radio (AmericaONE) announcers said the clock did not stop! The next play started with less than 2 minutes left in the game. Did that really happen? How is it that UND's coaches didn't catch it? Whose responsibility is it to make sure homer time clock operators are honest? Would the extra 25 seconds make a difference?

that thread is pre NC (2007). The Bison were also in transition. UND can look forward to improvements like NDSU has seen with a couple more pieces: a good conference (done), a winning team in a good conference (done after this weekend), a conference championship (in the not-so-distant future) and a national title run (on the horizon)

lets just say that the 40 win season of 1987 never seems to be in danger. that team never let up - from the beginning of the season until the NCAA finals were over.

The numbers tend to show that Hakstol's teams are at about .700 on Fridays (before & after Christmas) and under .500 on Saturdays before Christmas They are over .750 on Saturdays after Christmas. So, if I take your raw numbers, UND is 32 - 12 - 5 (.704) on Fridays before Christmas and 19 - 26 - 5 (.430) on Saturdays But, after Christmas, the numbers are 29 - 11 - 6 (.696) on Fridays and 32 - 12 - 5 (.767) on Saturdays. I also claim to only be human, but it appears that UND will hit their Saturday stride after Christmas

Anyone know what UND's Saturday record before Christmas is under Hakstol? Seems to be a familiar pattern.
