i think when oral beat und to win the summit they had streamers and stuff handed out....

i think the oral players were looking for balloons or streamers or something to rain down after they won last night and laughed when nothing came....

    game should've been in Tulsa...joke

Why should the game have been in Tulsa?

The NHL is smarter than the NFL regarding entry-level contracts.

You don't dump millions on a guy for what they did with the St. Albert Saints or the Niagara Purple Eagles. You get them to a pro level, see them perform, then comes "Jerry Maguire".

Please don't respond "career" or "injury". It happens in every sport.

NFL got a lot better after Bradford..or was it Stafford? When they put in the caps on the rookie deals.

Clearly you haven’t seen either because that Pesci scene is from “Goodfellas.”

I'm aware. My statement was independent of the goodfellas scene (also a great flick)

14-13-6 on the season and 0-3-1 in games I personally attend.  The good news is, I won’t be in Grand Forks this weekend.

big "Waste Management" conference or something?

im with you on everyone except Mayfield...he litteraly went to an absolute dumpster fire of a team, and lead them to the playoffs, with a win over there most hated rival...was he the best at that position....no, but he was the best the Browns had seen in over 2 decades.

You don't draft a guy #1 overall to win a wild card game though. Dude didn't get a second contract.

Maybe one of the biggest busts, but it's pretty difficult to top Ryan Leaf.

Idk, tough to be a bust when you play well enough to get paid.

Every year there seem to be high draft picks at the QB position that flat out flop. Baker Mayfield, Sam Darnold, Zach Wilson come to mind. Wilson, could still turn it around I guess. Young guy.

Dwayne Haskins (RIP), Mitch Trubisky, and so on.

Kinda hard to figure out how to classify Wentz's career. Sorta strange.

My assumption is that Bubba steps down to D Coordinator, gives Danny the helm, brings in Bagwell to be the new O coordinator. Bubba’s legacy becomes instantly infamous!

The head coach is going to take a demotion?

I think the argument on the parochial schools is they could recruit.  They say it wasn’t done but we know it may have (did) happen.

same with schools on reservations where students just seemed to play where there were going to be good teams,

IMHO,  tell me where I’m wrong.

as long as the lower 2 classes can still play each other it should be fine, otherwise the travel could be a nightmare.

to me a school night should have no travel more than 75 minutes.  Have more Saturday afternoon games and girls and boys double headers , getting kids home after midnight is crazy.

Jamestown would not be allowed to play anyone in anything during the week lol

When you say the last few years are you referring to the conference championship in 2020, 2021 or 2022?

But yes, this year has been rough.  In my own case, I just put in in perspective that 1) it's a game and 2)I have no control over how good the team is.

Many on here were talking about how our program was unraveling after 2018-19 as well, then we fielded a juggernaut the next season.

I dont think UND measures themselves in conference titles with hockey.

But that's fair. Good teams lose in a elimination fans all the time.

Nice to see NDSU lose. No longer at the top. No longer undefeated in Frisco. Ag college football is not invincible.

SDSU is also (moreso even)  ag college football.  Lmao.

Was expecting a L today. Figured the game would be competitive. Obviously not what happened.

Despite UND's struggles how stupid is it for the conference to schedule these games over Christmas break.

Agreed. The rivalry games should occur when school is in session.

Very annoying that the biggest draw on a home schedule occurs when all but the hardest core folks are traveling and/or enjoying time with family.

Think it could be solved with a couple "protected" teams for each school. Meaning NDSU doesn't play UND/SDSU over break. Ditto for UND or whatever.

Oh well. I'm not the boss.

Skunburg (so?) is a pretty good player for the bisons as well - Jamestown grad

saw an article that named him top ten player from out of North Dakota all time - didn’t think he was that good?

Skunberg very well might be a top ten ND high school player.  Not like we pump a ton of great players out.

Both these teams are horrid.  Hope its a fun game.  Might not get many of those this year lmao

Ronaldinho. Better skills. Better team player and a personality that lit up the stadium.

Messi is better than him and its not close. Better peak, and significantly longer period of dominance too.

I agree that SDSU is the better team....but.....I mean.... We all know how this ends.

SDSU has had teams that were good enough to beat NDSU.  This year, it is the reverse.  NDSU can beat SDSU, but I wouldn't put money on it.  Most of NDSU's football team have either not beat SDSU or have been young underclassmen when NDSU did.  Bohl is gone. Klieman is gone.  Stig (like him or not) has put better teams on the field against Entz.

NDSU may win. I'll be rooting for them.  This is the first (maybe only) time they've set foot in a  championship game where the other team is objectively better than them.
