This post is a microcosm of what is wrong with the attitude of the majority of our fan base. Hockey, with it's 60 schools is so damn important that our own football teams competition level is belittled.

Well, in all honesty, who doesn't want to be the bison right now? They are the defending national champs, and currently ranked #1 in the nation. I'd take it... anyone would.

how about our athletic department focus on a mainstream sport like football instead of hockey? The football team is in a very bad spot right now in that they are losing badly and the narrow fan base will now just go follow the hockey season. It's happened all through the transition, and it will happen again. People like to watch a winner, and the rea consistently produces a contender.

If the MBB team ever makes it to march madness they would gain more national recognition than hockey ever has without even playing a game in the tourney. just my opinion.
