So who should we blame for lack of discipline, poor team defense , lack of conditioning , heavy is the head who wears the crown. I know Berry is not going anywhere but needs to figure this out and make some changes.

We all know Berry is not going anywhere but has to at least make some changes to his coaching cause it’s not working and the last six years proves that, yes he has league titles but what does that do for you , no auto bid for regular season on playoffs and maybe if that’s what they focus on they don’t have much left for the NCAA tourney.

I really don’t know if there would be a difference but one has two years left and one is almost finished so would you not want the player who you will count on for two more years to get some expierence.

But different rules for different players or leash lengths. Hain made stupids not 5th year mistakes and skates a regular shift in Constantini did th same he would be benched. Not same same rules for every player.

Agree on the portal we need to use it wisely but not at the expense of recruiting. Freshman need to play over portal players cause the will be the backbone of the team not one and done, you recruit these players for a reason , coach them so they develop. One example Farmers give away for the first goal on Friday , if that was Johnson he would have been benched the rest of the night but Farmer skated a regular shift all night and didn’t okay well at all in my opinion.

True statement but also true with all of our advantages we should be doing better , missing the NCAA tourney as much as he has is not where this program should be , top 15 every year should be the bare minimum. The AD should have minimum standards/ goals or they have a difficult conversation.

So your 100% happy with the performance of this team , lack of discipline , poor effort, poor condiitioning (or it seems st times) and not really addressing major issues with this team. It’s like the emperors new clothes every things good , we won three league titles etc etc. this reminds me of Gino’s last years and it took awhile to work out of that hole.

Is Berry afraid to hurt some feelings, players won’t be his friends, come on man your job is to put the best possible team on the ice and if players get upset because they get called out for selfish plays then so be it, according to his culture the program is bigger then any player. Blais sat Blake in Denver for not giving 100 Friday , Matt green was told he was to go straight to the locker room in Mankato if he took another penality, the refs had to bring him out to serve his time then Blais sent him to the showers.

Maybe she should start the NLI and have players promote her casinos.

That’s why I would put Jamernik with them for the D side.

100% agree with this but one of my biggest issues. Is when does Berry change anything ? Just run the same lines and d pairings and style no matter what. I would be embarrassed the way DU handled us this year, it’s like we aren’t even in the same league.

Regarding Berry and players why do so many players seem to regress under him , trying to fit a square peg in a round hole? McLaughlin, James and Johnson come to mind off this years club.

We don’t play quick or fast enough, how many times did a Denver player break up a play by skating us down , Gaber was caught a few times , maybe it’s Berry style holding them back ? Berry may need to evolve if he wants to keep employed.

You can’t convince me that #6 would do worse then #3 or #4 , like you said let them take their lumps and learn from it.

I agree let’s develop the talent you recruited if they were talented enough to get an offer to play here let them play and develop. Part of coaching is making those players better once they are here.
