How does other teams evolving make us worse defensively ?

So I ask this board what is different from this year and last? Basically the same d corps and they struggle, and not just them them fowards have seem to forgotten they have responsibilities also.

So if 15 would take his covid year you would have 15,4,24,6 and 4 freshman , seems like a good mix. If 25 stayed would they run 9 D or someone may hit the portal.

I think Frisch plays a fifth year , Kleven may not , plays the guys you recruited and develop them into the players you thought they would be , agree 17 and 9 need to be split up both puck hawks all the time.

I believe they have 4 defenseman coming in next year 3 USHL and 1 bchl

I agree the goaltending is brutal , but how many goals have been scored by leaving someone uncovered in front of the net or not covering the trailer on the play , way way to many.

Exactly, how many times are the d leading the rush or playing deep in the offensive zone. Protect your own end , good break outs and play D!!!!!

26 is a second rounder , rookie of the year last year in the ushl and 19-10-28 player over him. How did our first line produce this weekend , how did 28 do? All invisible in my books. 6-26-29-21 all should play the rest of the year. Not sure what Berry does to these players , all produce in the USHL and come to North Dakota where good players come to get mediocre.

Once again this year it looks like we ran out of gas, conditioning has been another issue all year, how many leads have we given up this year in the third.

Whoever is in charge of the defense isn’t getting it done, yet nothing changes with this group. If your at your job and your performance is horrible you may be demoted or dismissed you don’t just get to spin it and do the same thing over and over again. Two losses this year Denver sat. night and now western Saturday night some of the most terrible home games I have sat through. If Berry doesn’t lose his job he needs to show the ability to make changes to push this program forward , right now we are in reverse. Seventh place in the league, worst save % in the country.

How about going back to the basics , D men stay at home and play d , man on man defense. Don’t let the D men free roam and just play simple. from here on out since this season is a wash all the youngest players should play over the portal and fifth years players. Need to build for the future, next year.

I keep saying this but gets ridiculed , Berry is a great assistant but not a head coach , maybe too nice a guy. Will more the likely miss the playoffs for the 3rd time in his tenure. This team hasn’t improved all year no matter how much coach speak we get every week. Time to move on before we don’t matter at all.

How about #2 or #3 , six was recruited by this coaching staff let him play , the portal guys were brought in as insurance not daily players. Or maybe the coaching staff can’t recruit.

I think this head coach is grasping at straws, he has no idea.

I give you Josh sembida, but your also expecting goaltending to make stops when no picks up the open trailer or both d men are behind the net and someone is left alone in the slot. I think if one or the other tightens up it’s a whole new ball game.

No you can’t say stuff like this , lindenwood took other teams to the brink. Berry just needs to go , embarrassing loses at home are getting to be the norm as well as getting shelled on the road ( St. Cloud) I think Berry was an awesome assist but he’s no head coach.
