Goon you spent time in Germany,military I'am assuming. When you were there you had plenty of friends from your own country and spoke English. Spirko came here by himself with no friends or family to help out. I would imagine school work took longer then his teammates did and he had no one to help him with that,coupled with the fact his parents aren't the best off, all kind of factors some we probably don't even know about. I for one will miss his hard work and never give up attitude he brought every night and THE TRIOUXPER is right you don't just replace a player like him very easy.

Buckysieve i did just what you said about googling and didn't find much new evidence except for some Jewish groups trying to blackmail Engelstad if he didn't donate to their charities. The man was far from perfect but also not the monster your trying to betray him as. I agree with both Goon and Sprig this is still Sioux Sports.Com last time I checked. Try goe over to Goopher puke live and get on the UND appeal denied and try to post a different view. As far as there are concerned we have a arena built by a Nazi we have no class or morals. I don't have problems with different views just don't come on here holier than anyone and try to tell us were petty,jealous or not your biggest rival. Who cares what kind of jerseys we buy or who else we root for.

Maybe this kid just has a passion for hockey and this will be his career,high schools are pretty flexible as far as schedules go now days. like I said in a earlier post maybe he wants to be a sportscaster or hockey scout after high school. Buckyseive we can have good discussions but you have to remember which board your on also. I could go over to GPL and join in the bashing thread of Ralph Engelstad but I wouldn't last very long. Boy they sure have some hatred over there(and we are the ones obsessed)

So your saying hockey futures has no credibility? Or are you saying he has no credibilty because he didn't fawn over Kessel or third because he's only in high school. Maybe this kid wants to become a sports writer or something in that field and has seen lots of games,talked to numerous scouts and maybe well connected, who knows. Let's not let facts get in the way lets just blow him off as a no nothing high school hack. I think his reviews were well written and all seem pretty close to whats been said by lots of scouts and other media. I don't mind different points of view, it's nice to see the other sides thinking but when they get on with the mullets,nascar caps,Grand Forks sucks etc they should be at least warned of the possibility of being banned. If I went on GPL and started spewing about Toews or Oshie being better than Kessel How long would I last if I used the same tone they bring here. Just my thoughts.

Because the God Hammy said he was not very knowledgeable it's law,I guess Hockeys Future just lets anyone post thats doesn't know crap. Why our threads being closed because posters from other sites come on and talk smack,when we respond Redwing calls it a flamefest and the thread gets locked. Hmmm if I want to mess with someones thread if I'am a Goopher fan I just start S%$T and watch until the moderator closes it and sit back and laugh, maybe we need to start banning people who add nothing to these messages but just stir the pot. I guarantee if I went to GPL like State of Hockey,or Piper or others I would be banned after the first couple of responses. The more that the Gophers complain the better it gets. You can say obsessed but we can say ditto, how many Sioux fans post on GPL ? It still says Sioux Sports on the header doesn't it. To have one of maybe our biggest rivals get beat in our house with a great majority of Sioux fans watching probably the biggest NCAA hockey upset ever, thats not obsession its glory. The look on Woogers face trying to do the post game show, priceless.
